For me it was pretty clear why beat em ups went away in the mid 90's. Games were transitioning to 3D so the 2D style beat em ups were going away because of the advancement in technology. They tried to establish 3D beat em ups / brawlers but they just weren't the same and they weren't nearly as popular. Arcades were also starting to fade out not too long after so the entire genre took a hit. It wasn't until recent years with SOR4 and TMNT SR that the industry realized how much these types of games were missed. Just because games have evolved doesn't mean you still can go back and create retro style beat em ups. They're acknowledging this now so we've seen a resurgence which is awesome. I also find it weird how the other Fox Kids Tokusatsu were considered ripoffs when they were mostly all done by Saban.

Don't forget Bioman. That live action in Japan predates Power Rangers by about a decade. And there are many more before that one.

It would be cool to have a sequel featuring the Zeo team at some point, but as it is right now I'm still glad that we're having a proper MMPR game that covers Season 3 stuff (in a fast and loose way), and is looking to be excellent.

Why not 6 players? There's 6 playable rangers. Turtles can play with 6 people.

It's only five characters starting off so that cannot happen until you defeat the sixth ranger. Ninja turtles have way more characters so it's easy for them to have six players. If I made this game I would have made it six players and I would have included every hero that teamed up with the MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS. I would have: Alien Rangers from Aquatar, The Masked Rider, Ninjor,Trini's daughter, Ninja Rangers , and even Bulk and Skull morph into their super hero costumes from 😂 from classic episodes 😂

Day 1 buy...i hope they make many more of these. Sequels on Sequels. Do another tmnt one also, bring back turtles in time Sequel. Surely its way more affordable to make these type of games than regular 3d ones. Ez profit

For the fans!? Then whare TF are the Rangers " blade blaster" weapons? They all had indivisual weapons but also all had a laser/knife called (bladeblaster). 😒Would be cool if like the snes version, we could play as nomal rangers and then transform. That was innovative to "beat um ups". Dont you guys know that?! Why cant they have there weapons out more then one move? Just would have added depth to the combat. Just saying
