This music and these legendary performances need to be archived and preserved. Thank you @IsDePaninMe. You certainly have given me much joy in your uploads. I have an extensive soca/calypso collection, but I find it so much easier to just listen on You Tube. You and all the other guys have done/are doing a tremendous job in keeping the kaiso/soca/calypso tradition alive. Thank you very much.

Wow. Watching this classic footage, somewhat overwhelmed me with: joy, Trini pride along with sweet tears and memories all in one. I mean just the whole thing....everyone in a deep Soca trance....rollin'-n-rocking. Lawd!!! I had to be in my early teens around this time. With tickets sold out. To enter this type of jam, we young boys used to prop-up willing patrons and climbing de back concrete fence (by the back drain) and jump over. Wow. So happy I had the opportunity to witness GREATNESS!

Thanks a million for posting this!Shadow is a revolutionnary musician with his own way of doing things. You could recognise de jumbie beat anywhere! It's really his and has followed his whole career.I don't like saying that times before were better. But the contemporary fellows don't have that thing. Sounds all the same to me,one melody might be'catchy-er'than another, but as for style, originality, musicality and sweetness,I'm still waiting.

You may find one or two tunes scattered here and there. The worst part is sometimes you can't even distinguish the soca (from today) from some of those african dance tunes.
