All that time, work and tuning to get a pathetic 130HP in those 2 cars? That's like 15HP to the wheels less then when the Saab was stock! I just watched another video on KZbin of somebody with a late 90's Hyundai Sonata 4 cyl recovered from a junk yard and tossed in an eBay turbo and they managed 360 HP at the wheels! I thought the reason behind this was to max them out using tuning and some budget friendly tricks? Both cars are turbo charged and that's all the power you could muster? Also the challenges supposed to be about the cars, why add stupid Wasabi and don't spill the whatever into it? PS. The Saab would actually look pretty sweet if you cleaned up those stupid stickers and roof racks

+tangles01 It all boils down to grip on a Got to Woe contests, when you have equally matched cars. The aftermarket wheels with good tires is what made the SAAB. Too sexy must have been sitting on budget tires that were just way to hard of a compound to get any grip, so by the time it would hook up then get ready to stop it was pretty much skidding the whole time.

If you have roof rails, you just need crossbars. That aside everything is more expensive because of many factors, our isolation, our population, our taxes and most importantly our MUCH higher incomes. Also our laws are different and designed to keep people safe so a v8 transfer wouldn't be possible, your laws let anyone have gun and then wonder why people get shot. So to compare your car and situation to these is moot because the Indian guy with a welder, a shopping trolley and a motor bike engine would win all in that case. Stop trying to take the fun out of cars, that's what this was all about and it was successful.

That Saab is really well done. I've never been a fan of Saab's but Moog has done a proper job of JDM-ing it. Its already on the right track and a bigger budget it would be awesome. I have an Evo so 2Sexy was 2-embarassingly-shit. But solid effort Marty - I was rooting for you to win.

TO think that after all those mods done to the Saab, he only got it to make roughly 200 hp to the crank when he could have gotten it to make just as much if not more simply by having a Saab tuner adjust the stock computer that came in it. With the upgraded intercooler, intake and exhaust, he could have had his stock computer chip tuned to stage 2 and had that car making 230-250 hp easily.

136 hp at the wheel isn't a lot. My old 1993 Lancer 1.6 had 108 NA HP with a very dodgy engine. And the place that dynoed it said they normally was supposed to have 120. And could be ignition advanced to a bit more.
