"It was a movie that carefully portrayed ordinary activities that do not remain in history. That's why the "historical big event" in the film was a restrained depiction, but it had an impact." i translated this comment bc i 100% agree it did leave an impact on many corners of this world
The song name is literally "The right hand song", every single little things in this movie hits hard

Even though I don't understand the lyrics, the music is so soothing and the ending scene of the movie.
I adore a sweet sounding voice especially in Japanese such as yours. I subscribed to your channel here.

Man, these lyrics are so incredibly sad, in context of the movie, and even more so as its sung in a sort of positive way. Spoilers for the movie "In this corner of the World": Its the main character recounting her memories of the event where she took her niece (?) for a walk near the harbors and while they were watching the war-ships in the harbor an un-detonated american bomb goes off nearby and kills her 3-5 yo niece while tearing off the main characters right arm. Thus the song is named "The song of (the/my) Right Arm".

Niece *in law.* :) It's very sad because both the main character, and the viewer, were just growing close to Harumi when the tragic incident occurred. 😢 I feel most sad for poor Harumi's mum, as she was all she had in the world at that point. The lyrics weren't what I'd really focused on, but the way the singer's voice was projected to the listener, and the symphonic "journey" played with all the instruments. I listen to this song in the OST more than any other (the thumbnail always makes it easy to find), because it has the most "soul" put into it. Better to listen to it here in full _*after_ having watched the scene in the movie that both immediately precedes it, as well as includes it, for full effect.
Anyone who can translate this song into Korean~? + love this voice n illustration.. so touching

Denia Purnamayanti Migite no Uta. From my research, it's from anime movie

Denia Purnamayanti The title is Migite no Uta (Right Hand's Song) and it's from just before the ending credits of an anime movie called Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni (In This Corner of the World). I strongly recommend watching it, it's basically a slice of life in Japan during WWII from the viewpoint of a young woman from Hiroshima. You can probably already see where this is going, but while there are some (very) sad moments, for the most part it's a gentle, laid back and easygoing movie with plenty of silliness and jokes. It's about life in general, I suppose.
