Everyone talks about illegal immigration and all Britons and foreigners agree with that. But what will happen to legal immigrants, who always respect the law, like my daughter, me and my English husband? .. we will have to continue applying for visas for the rest of our lives and I have no problem paying the fortune that I have always paid and the stress. But not all strangers are the same and I sometimes feel like they put us all in the same bag. My husband is English and I got married in 2017 in Weybridge. In 2018 I applied for a visa and came with my youngest daughter. Do I have to continue getting visas for the rest of our lives? Sorry but I need answers.

The Tory idea - presumably - was that as soon as flights are got ready, officers 'make an example of' the first dozen or so migrant boatloads of by fast-track processing then taking them straight to the airport. Latest News From UK: We're treating all SB arrivals same way from now on/ incentive to launch any more boats in France vanishes overnight/ after a week or two SB arrivals stop altogether/ Rwanda's taken the hundreds they're being paid for/ remaining tens of thousands in France don't bother any more/ smugglers lose interest and think of some other nasty trade to start up for a living/ no longer UK's problem/ job done. But that never happened, no doubt word got round that if it ever started it would soon get cancelled. Evidence of it "starting to work" was flimsy I reckon. Is there a proven link between Rwanda Act timing and the sudden(?!) rise in migrants somehow(?!) managing to reach Ireland without legit ID.....? I don't buy it.

France already takes far far more than the UK does. We shouldn't be trying to prevent any from coming the the UK, we should just change how they get here. We don't need a deal with the EU, it can be a deal with France. They agree to accept back all people who cross in a small boat, and in return we take an equivalent number who didn't cross in a boat. They don't have extra immigrants due to accepting the returns, but it becomes known that instead of a 1% chance of being sent to Rwanda, there is a 100% chance of being sent back to France. Once they know attempting the crossing is pointless they'll stop trying it. The camp in Calais only exists because people want to try to cross in a boat. When they know it isn't going to work the camp won't need to be there.
