i remember watching this video for the first time, tomorrow will be exactly 6 years ago. i pulled on side of the road to watch it, and i have been stuck on this song ever since. The video, the song, the lyrics embody love, and what i want it to look like for me. Their chemistry was AMAZINGGGG!!!! NEVER seen anything like it.

Miguel, and his atmospheric music, is always giving the listener an experience. I heart this man. He’s been finding his stride in creating music videos because of lately; they’re really becoming great. Coffee, first-time hearing this song, the cliché PC version video that my mind created was something like: * Boy meets girl meets in coffee shop * They exchange lingering looks * He has the courage to approach her * Montage of them spending special moments together * They fall in love * They spend the night/ sleep together * He brings her coffee in the morning Anyway, Miguel DID NOT DO THIS… he did something WAY better! He was totally original, sexy, fun and sexy (yes, I know I mentioned sexy twice). Most of the video takes place on the bed, in the bedroom, under the sheets, in a small apartment room, with tons of pictures plastered on the walls, and a florescent blue cross in the background, I’m guessing that’s where ‘the old souls found their new religion.’ The video starts in a steamy shower with the two lovers. Perfect. This woman must be a model; she’s uniquely beautiful --not media/stereotypically beautiful -- which made me love the video even more. Perfect. Her unexpectedly green/blue hair and slender bod was mostly intertwined with his tattooed bod throughout the video. Who wouldn’t be? We get a few scenes outside during the day and at night -- with more atmospheric mood. But for the most part- there’s an overcast of evening intimate moments with these two. Great video. Who’s up for coffee in the morning?
