All the Mii sword mains had a good chuckle at 30:46 😂 can't get too greedy with that move, it actually kills from middle stage after 70 percent at the top blast zone. Alot safer. But the recovery on that moves garbage, I prefer the forward and up air variants with a better recovery option

It's the backwards up tilt that is used for combos due to the lower lag time after knocking them up. This allows for true combos where the front side won't be true. Also only hits from the first or second attack of Fair are true. My favorite combo is full hop to down angled tilt/slow chakram if it hits then it will lead to anything you can dream of. If they shield it, you can grab them.

I’ve come to a sad realization: I’m a filthy casual. I’m a veteran smash player since Melee & yet my usual strategy is still mostly for outsmarting dumb CPUs. Something I have to ask, because I've barely seen it be of any help... Is the Parry system any good? Perhaps there's some merit to it for keeping your shield from breaking, but in high level play it seems like it's pretty much useless. Since you have to time the end of the attack, rather than the start of it, the opponent is able to dodge, roll, or jump away before the animation even ends. It just seems a bit less viable than perfect shield.

Mii Brawler! I thought he was bad till I tried him, suplex is amazing and the character has some actually REALLY good combos, just they're hard to see if you just play him outright. He's only a for fun pocket but this character has stupid edge guards if you get the shotput angle down as well as some decent kill set ups (nair > jab (jablock) > fsmash), fair 1 > usmash, fthrow kills late but it still kills, and like 190+ dthrow kills. ax kick landing hit also kills decently now as well.

Mii gunner and Mii swordsman are definitely the best ones. Brawler is the worst one of the 3 but can still kill early if you use up b that he rapidly punches (Kills early on platform stages)

Long story short on the other Miis, Mii Gunner zoning stuff improved but one move is replaced yet new animation (Up Special) Mii Brawler got nerfed that they got brand new specials and one of them being a Counter like throw.

Wow... considering you JUST picked up the character. You're doing great with the Mii Swordfighter.... Personally, they're legit one of my favorites in this game. I used Mii Swordfighter (with this moveset no less) back in Smash 4 in friendlies because.... Well, it was the closest thing I had to playing as Ashley. Lo and behold, that Mii costume returned. So I remade Ashley.... And yeah, she ended up being one of my mains. Along with ROB, and Ridley. I feel like if you don't know whether or not the Up Air will hit after a tornado.... Use Up B instead. it's generally a bit easier to hit with. Also, I think the Up B is a straight copy of one of the Links Up Bs. So... blame Link for it being powerful. (I kind of feel like they will nerf Mii Swordfighter in a patch.... The Tornado, and Up B will likely be nerfed eventually. I just hope they buff a few things to compensate for it.)
