As someone who has dealt with the demons of depression and cognitive dissonance for most of my life, this song rings so true. It is amazingly difficult to retrain your brain to "talk to yourself like a friend". We are often the hardest on ourselves and need to treat ourselves with the kindness and forgiveness we typically reserve for others. I hope that you have overcome whatever darkness made writing this song possible and it is great to hear new music from you.

I’m surrounded by this video, it’s so mind blowing!!! I had just so many insights after watching it round and round, i recognize these behavior patterns as mine in a few different stages… I had to swallow it first before I totally understand the meaning, moreover 2:41 in this part, I saw myself swinging throughout other’s issues and mistakes, therefore blaming myself for reasons I shouldn’t.
