This beat is amazing and will always be legendary to underground Hip Hop heads, bc of the Big L Jay Z freestyle which was IMO the most legendary Hip Hop freestyle session ever... L brought Jay to the studio, at the time Jay was about to blow but L really helped put him on (no pun intended). To bad L got murdered... I can only imagine how dope the future collabs between Jay and L would've been!!!

I remember the first time hearing the classic freestyle over this and thinking, "damn Jigga got down..."next thing I know Big L straight decapitates the beat and sets the bar for dope freestyling to a whole new level! L's verses were so perfect and hit so hard, that after I immediately rewound the track I'm thinking "ok Hov's verse was cute" haha cuz then I knew what L was gonna do.
