It's an alternate universe where Sonic Mania never happened so sonic being overwhelmed by having so many failures he got influenced by Dark Gai and became one with Darkness, and Dr Eggman started improving his life by eating better food, and exercising he became a good person, and Amy being a loving adoptive mother of a Toad she got over her obsession with Sonic, but the Chaos Emerald got drained so Sanic is the all powerful but Peebs was chosen by a deity of some description, so he is training to gain power comprable to Dark Lord Sonic, to save the earth

It was when everyone was still talking about how horrible the movie would be which was mostly based on the stuff they originally released from the movie such as the original Sonic model.
