@OlaCzakalaka even if ukraine won, they don't have to host next year's ESC, it has happened before that a country couldnt afford to host it after winning the contest. ESC is hosted by another country that can afford it, that's why the UK has hosted ESC about 6-7 times but only won 4-5 times

@OlaCzakalaka I understand what you're saying but I have 2 points Firstly any artist can choose to participate if they want, however alot of the better artists from most countries don't want to participate, just as an example I am sure the UK would have loved to send Madonna at least once but its up to her if she wants to go or not. Secondly if a country didn't want to win because they couldn't afford to host it, then why pay the fee to participate? why not just not enter ESC at all?

Song Zlata Ognevich was good too, but on real calculations 3 kinds of voting has won Jamala and she is much stronger than other singers. It is fact. I've got one question for you guys.. Did you really think the Netherlands were that bad? They ended last in the second semi-final ;o. I'm a dutch girl, and normally I don't really like our dutch esc songs, but now it was quite good, I thought... maybe the voice of the singer wasn't like, wow, but.. to be completely honest, the voices of those azerbaijan ppl neither were! Well this song even from the musical harmony standing point is more complicated to perform than many that were at Eurovision. Also, the lyrics are deep and smart, without a simple "Pop" affect. Her voice is deep and scratchy and she sings it like she means it. Like all said - the context is rigged.

I prefer the original arrangement sung in Russian . This one doesn't have as much sadness, and no longer pulls at my heart. This arrangement feels like it's pandering. The original should stand on its own as the beautiful song that it is.
