Some numbers for anyone interested: - After four legs, the cumulative average score was 186.3 points. - After the fifth leg, the cumulative average score was 727.0 points. Conclusion: the fifth leg had on average 3x as much impact on a marble's score as all of the other 4 legs combined (some margin of error based on small sample size and the continuation of a marble's score from the end of leg 4). - On the first leg, there were 145 (x2)'s and 51 'reset's. - Of those (x2)'s, only 14 occurred on the right half (center inclusive) of the green bar. Conclusion: the size of the reset bar compared to the green bar is misleading, and the spike was probably able to save half or more of the potential resets. (145-14 = 131, more than twice the number of resets in roughly the same space on the bar). I tried different approaches of analyzing how often during the first leg that the spike of terrain in front of the reset bar actually saved a marble from being reset, but all were inconclusive and subjective at best.

Not only did they win, but they won _by a hair._ Touching ×3 with _just over one second_ to spare was lucky enough. But it wasn't only that. At 16:25, they were _on the verge_ of rolling left and hitting Continue instead of Save. If they did, their current chain of 6561 points would have been completely wasted, because only the _banked_ points count towards the final rankings.

@@janetlee3710 you can watch the marbles that didn't finish before the time expired, the only thing the timer does is start teleporting marbles to the end instead of back into the loop. Maroon would have still gotten that multiplier. but yes, that cash in was very lucky

Orange was the longest to resist saving from the beginning, building up 1024 points when the median score at the time was 11 points. Then right after throwing it away, orange discovers that a save option exists. After feeling so humiliated, orange decides to stop trying, and just accepts last place.

On LEG 3, Yellow was playing very safe, by saving all of the x15s and x16s they got. On LEG 5, Yellow got a bit greedy by saving up 81 points, and when they lost all 81 points, they learnt their lesson and saved every 3 points they got
