Just like if an athlete is known and well paid, but is outperforming that threshold, they would be underrated. (Still rated, but not to the degree they should be). And yes, if you’ve seen, and enjoyed multiple Tom cruise movies, yet don’t know who HE is. He is likely still underrated. (Unless you hate his part in those movies lol)

I love this song because it captured teenage angst and the sh-t almost everyone (or shall I just say: *everyone*) goes through at that vulnerable age of 17, 18 years old (Mika said he had that period of his life in mind although I assume the message spreads on to earlier teenage years and later adolescent years as well). It makes us remember that we aren't alone in feeling lonely, weird, thinking how we are special, wanting to dress extravagantly but at the same time not being confident enough to bear the attention that comes with it. Being a God inside the four walls of your room, and an insecure wreck outside it. Screw Hollywood portrayals of romantic awesome teenage years and teenage romance; THIS is what teeangehood looks like. I dont know if I will like the song so much once I'm out of these weird years, but it does so much for me now and I hope it will do as much for the future generations of weirdos to come (and I dare assume most of us are weirdos at that age) Kids, you're not alone in this. Let's dance along with Mika. ❤️

I had a serious lung infection back when I was 18. I had to call an ambulance; I was medically dead while en route to hospital (I live really close by to a hospital, I was really bad) I am not gonna go over treatment because its too long but 6 hours after they discharged me, I was back in the ER. I stayed in hospital for 2 weeks, over 15k in bills including medicine, care, transport (my third world country has insurance, I only had to pay for room, less than 2k in really easy monthly payments) I discovered MIKA when I was alone during those 2 weeks at night. I think it helped me after I searched about him and his fight about being different. His music was with me when I thought I was gonna die... there is nothing worse as not being able to breathe, MIKA helped me relax for some reason....
