What a classic! They don't make pop music like this anymore. The blending of the instrument sounds is masterful. His voice is top tier and unique. Great stuff.

Just like Heaven is simply one of the most elegiac, beautiful and greatest songs of the contemporary canon.

Excellent! One of my most favorite bands ever. Got my first taste in 1986 while in basic training. One of my platoon mates gave me his cassette of Head on the Door and said to keep it if I liked it. I still have that tape in my closet, lol. Spent a lot of money and time over the years listening and buying anything I could get my hands on. Finally got the chance to see them live in 2015 and it was awesome!

Head on the door kicked ass. I got into the Cure in 80-81 and by the time HOTD came out, it was a great change for them at the time.

Another great British export... Robert Smith is a national treasure! Has anyone recommended Gunship to you a great band kind of in the same camp... and a great example of Synth Wave Black Blood Red Kiss is an outstanding track of theirs... and a throw back to 80s synth...

Robert Smith has a unique voice. That and the guitar sound make this band! His lyrics are like poetry. I bought a lyric book of their songs for the pleasure of reading them. I was born in 1953, grew up on Heavy Rock and Prog Rock, but The Cure was the band for me in the 80s. I have nearly all their CDs. And they're still great live judging by the live videos I've watched on KZbin. They did Glastonbury in 2019.

The Cure is sensational. Love it too much. I will recommend you a very beautiful song too. And I hope you like it. The band and the music is this: The Midnight - Lost Boy NOTE: I'm sorry for the English that was translated by the google translator.

You guys need to try the band the maryonettes. They’re from Sweden. Their music harkens the good old days of music. Like the cure, echo and the bunnymen, and new order. Try their song - lost

Like Mike, I was into them in my mid-teens somewhere around 87-88. The strangest thing is that Cure and Depeche Mode were seen as complementary bands at those times. I even had a strange mix album which did contain songs by these 2 bands. "Wish" from 1992 was my favorite album and "From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea" is my top song from that album.

That sounds like a great album! I love both those bands - G

I like "Just Like Heaven" but I think my favorite song off Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me is either "Why Can't I Be You?" or "Hot, Hot, Hot." Favorite The Cure album is Disintegration, though. High school art teacher used to let us listen to it during class when we were drawing and painting. Still have that cassette, too, lol.

Funnily enough, I was thinking about suggesting The Love Cats to you the other day, but I think I did something else in the end. I ike watching 'technical' reactors, like guitarists and vocal coaches, for the same reason you like Rick Beato (who I watch sometimes): you appreciate it more when somebody who really knows what they're talking about goes into depth about it.
