The late, great Mike Auldridge was, along with Andy Statman (and others) honored with a 2012 NEA National Heritage Fellowship. Mike asked Andy to perform with him and Rob Ickes at the NEA Heritage Awards Concert in Washington DC, October 2012.

I too, wish the camera had been in a better position but you don't need to see Mike's hands to know who's playing. You can "see his heart" when you hear to the notes he plays. Masterful and unmistakable, was Mike Auldridge. Close your eyes and listen. Rob Ickes is a master player himself but there's no doubt who's playing and when, even if it had been in total darkness. Rob and Jerry will fill some of the empty places left by Mike Auldridge. They're standing on the shoulders of a giant. JP

I'd never heard that song, before. The section, as these guys play it, ends up sounding like Whiskey in the Jar, though the first few measures of that section sound like the beginning measures of Whiskey when the Ventures played it, too. Thanks for letting me know the actual song, though.
