In this video, you will see what I believe is a sincere display of repentance from sexual sin from someone considered a great leader in the IHOP KC movement, Lou Engle. He displays humility, giving an unplanned speech, where he confesses before thousands of young people a problem he’s had with pornography. As you watch the video, you will see Mike Bickle praise this man as so instrumental to the prayer movement in the earth. And in this video, you will also hear Brian Kim (IHOP KC leader who brought his voice forward in the allegations) honored as a spiritual son to this leader.
Mike Bickle appears to downplay his repentance and to minimize its weight and severity. You can see him begin to walk around talking on stage when Lou is lifting an outcry to God for repentance. I am not here to judge Lou Engle, but rather point to his example. Mike Bickle expresses what appears to be a deep sense of respect and admiration for Lou Engle.
Therefore, I call on Mike Bickle, to follow the example of Lou Engle and Scripture in public repentance for the harm caused to the body of Christ in humbling of one’s self (in the public forum, as you have preached) or speaking to the allegations presented by these honorable brothers and sons in sincerity. In their midst. Mathew 18. Christ is clear. Nothing short of this is acceptable. "One thing have I asked..."
