Little brighter light is all I could ask for - but that’s a huge project! I love the music and “chapter” pages.

Thanks for the feedback! I was going for a more cinematic approach to be a bit different from a typical how to video. This one also took forever because I’m new to it. There’s a lot more to creating one of these than I expected. The next should be quicker now that the chapter pages and titles are pretty much a copy-paste situation. Now the biggest challenge is to keep the build ahead of the videos!

That’s awesome to hear, thanks! Unfortunately I’m still working on the last couple videos so you look have to wait a bit longer to finish the series. Summer break is over so I’ll be getting back to it soon!

@@madebymikedesigns6253 my projects suffer in the summer as well. between mowing and sailing, fairly limited shop time. I'm seriously considering a SUP for this winter's project. I'm really stumbling on WHAT. I've been to Jarvis boards and checked out your kit, company. Part of me thinks to design my own but past experience in designing warns off that probability
@madebymikedesigns62533 жыл бұрын
Yeah the summers around here are too short not to try to enjoy as much time outside as possible. I struggled with which board kit to choose as well since my paddling experience is too limited to feel comfortable designing my own . None were exactly what I wanted but the one I chose was close. I’d like to comment on how well it paddles but that won’t happen for a while. You should also check out Clearwood paddle boards. They have some nice designs as well. Good luck with your decision. It will be a fun project either way. I also checked out your channel and you have some good looking content there. Time to start watching more!

Great instruction Mike. The audio is really low for some reason. Everything on my end turned up fully. ??
@madebymikedesigns62533 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I’m not sure about the audio issue. Nobody else has mentioned any problems. The sound level of all the videos should be identical. Maybe a reload would help?

Awesome Mike! Who's frame kit did you use. Cant wait for the next video. Thx, Bill

Thanks Bill! Glad you’re enjoying the video series. The frame kit is a Catalina 12’6” from Tucker Surf Supply. The project has slowed a bit lately but the next video is almost finished and will be out soon.

Would love to see videos like this without all the workshop tools. Not everyone has a band saw and table top router. It gets discouraging for the first time builder
@madebymikedesigns62533 жыл бұрын
Hi John. Thanks for the feedback. I can see how it can be discouraging for a first time builder. That being said, this video series is intended to be a documentation of my build which is a more premium build using techniques that are more difficult than what a first timer might utilize. I’m using the tools that I already had but, as with many woodworking projects, there are usually several ways to do any task. For example, a hand held jig saw could be used instead of the band saw or a hand held router with some creative clamping could stand in for the router table. Some of the features I’ve made may be difficult to reproduce without the tools but none of those features are absolutely necessary to complete a functional paddle board. Many of the businesses that sell frame kits also have more beginner oriented instructional videos too. I hope this helps!

You know … you don’t help anyone with lengths widths .. size and thickness of wood …

Thanks for checking out my video. I’m not sure exactly which wood you’re looking for more information on but feel free to ask if you have a specific question.
