One of the most knowledgeable drummers out there. I had the pleasure of being at a jam session with a bunch of fine drummers a few years ago. Mike was one of the guys there. I can tell you this, most of the drummers there were very good to amazing, and when Mike sat down to play, EVERYONE was focused on what and where he was going. Simply he was laying down timings and forms that were on the highest level, and everyone appreciated this incredible musician. If you ever get a chance to study with Mike make it your business to do so, your level of proficiency will go to a whole other level.

I've finally found the answers I've been looking for!! This video is a turning point for me. Too much time around other drummers had held me back because you can't be in the moment if you're comparing and critiquing yourself.
