IMO the best looking Mopar ever made. Love the front end on this car.

When it comes to cool, this car has every box checked. People love or hate them. I happen to love them. I always wanted a 70 Bee. At least I have a 70 Coronet wagon. Close enough for me. Lol.

You 2 have gotten 25 years older but your voices are still the same . I agree with leaving the paint alone , it does not hide Rust repair or Bondo , makes the car that much better .

When it comes to Patina, which I like, this car has the perfect amount.
@EvansBrosRacing3 жыл бұрын
@@JonnyMopar real patina is a good thing as long as it's not getting worse . I personally hate the fake patina trend , just lame as hell in my eyes to TRY to look cool and spend a ton of money to make a car look shabby . Today they'd call it Shabby Chic , but I cant stand fake stuff . Reminds me of the "Biker Kits" they sell for Harley riders that comes with a leather jacket with patches , a clip on pony tail , and a chain that clips on the belt loop for your wallet and keys . Also comes with a bandana , and I think it had temporary Tattoos also , lol . I don't know if you recall those but I had the ad on my shop wall in Winchester back in the day .

ted evans Lol.. I don't remember ever seeing those but that's hilarious. I agree, I don't like the fake Patina either. And how did 25 years slip by? Damn time flies Ted.

Great video! When I first seen the five cars on Randy's channel, by the way I was a subscriber at that time, I fell in love with them all. My favorite was absolutely the Coronet RT. I'm so glad its living on in the KZbin world so we can all enjoy the car. Thanks you and all that's been involved in bringing this car back
@JonnyMopar3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Timothy, This car is an extraordinary car with an extraordinary story behind it. I too would love to have any one of them, Mustang excluded cause I'm a Mopar guy, I don't think my head could handle having to choose. Mike actually encouraged me to buy the 500 and or the R/T when this was unfolding. He knows how much I love Chargers. The 500 was just too far out of reach. The R/T was doable but I just couldn't add another $20k ish debt when I already have plenty of other Chargers that need attention and time. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching. And you're welcome.

Spectacular car, theres a lot of Mopar eye candy in that backyard, I hated those vans back in the day, but they are so cool looking now. You can tell it was in the Arizona sun, it ate all the top paint, I wondered how the hood scoop paint survived so nice. I had a 70 road runner, 383, factory air grabber, I painted it Limelight, but that 383 was not enough for that almost 4,000 lb car, yours is a true survivor, can you just clearcoat it and leave it, it an eye catcher just the way it is. I watch Nicks garage, he great with the 6 packs, even though they are rebuilt, he still fine tunes them on the car, he has a great video, explaining every step, and when the linkages are tweeked right and the other 4 barrels open they scream, I believe he was doing a v code just like yours, great car.
@JonnyMopar2 жыл бұрын
Hi Joe, it was actually my buddies car. He’s since sold it. My buddy Mike has a friend that knows how to do paint touch up and patina. So most of the patina is legit but Mike swapped scoops for another set he had that happened to be sublime. And his friend touched up the hood a little to add more green. It’s an awesome car.

Great video! I had a 70 Coronet RT that was almost your cars twin. Limelight green like yours, 440 Sixpack 4spd but mine had black vinyl top and interior. Mine didn't have the ram charger hood either. 3:54 Dana and 14" magnum 500's. And your right, 97 4spds and 97 automatics. But I've never seen another one in limelight so close to how mine was. I mean out of 97 cars how many were even painted limelight? I bought mine in 1975 for $750. A lot of money for a high school kid making a $1.25 pumping gas, lol. Thanks for the video and the memories!

Thanks for the comment Ron. Yes, very rare. Mike is my buddy who owned the car, he sold it a few Months back. I think it was an amount he couldn’t say no to. Mike was thinking the combo he had was so rare that it’s possible his car was the actual promotional car Chrysler took to car shows in 69 to show off the new 70 models. But since they didn’t have license plates and there’s no VIN pictures of that car he can’t prove it.

Hi Paul, Mike is going to leave it Patina’d. The car needs some minor TLC stuff but it runs and drives and doesn’t need any major work. This car in particular is pretty phenomenal in how it’s optioned and is very rare and valuable.

He sure knocks some other colors. F8 green can be a very mean looking car. Sorry the white top and white interior on the sublime green isn’t exactly screaming muscle. It’s like a classy muscle car. If it was a black interior with black top or no vinyl top...now that’s a mean 70.
