The legendary producer Mike Dean brought in his Tesla Model X.
Mike threw a curve ball at us with this one. Mike wants a complete custom exterior, custom green color wrap, matching wheels, and gloss green trim, which is easy but he wants a fully custom sound system inside. Mike doesn't want just any sound system, Mike wants a system that matches his studio sound! If you don't know who Mike Dean is, Mike is a legend in the music industry! I have a favor ,you know how a different channel has those people that send in a story and make a dream come 👍 🙏 I have a rough one and my user name is result....i was born with hereditary pancreatitis, and didn't know till it was way too late due to 4 years of misdiagnosis ,november 2017 I had a TPAIT, an experimental surgery which i was the 65th person at 1 of 6 hospitals in the USA, i have a really great attitude never play the pity card,but ive had my 88 10thAE rx7 1 of 1500 ive had 22 years and im disabled now but im in physical therapy, and pain management, relocated near the hospitals and i dont know how long i have ,but i just want that car back up and minty like it once was in highschool! I'll earn it please! 🙏🙏🙏 im a brittle diabetic on a pump and am insulin and enzyme dependant for ever ,to stay alive i have to manually provide what 4 absolute major organs!! Godbless 🙏💙💜✌🏽

How would a speaker system like that effect the battery range on a electric vehicle?

not 1000% sure but assuming that the car doesn't have alternators ( idk if this is acurate) then they would need to either create a battery supply for the amps. Or use the battery that already comes with the car. therefore affecting range. But I cant imagine it being a huge difference but it will be there. Just my guess

So without knowing the exact specs of that setup, we can only make some generic assumptions. Looking at JL Audio subwoofers, the max I could find is about 1500 watts. Lets assume the system is 3000 watts. Now running 3000 watts, or 3kW, at full power for 1 hour will use 3 kilowatt hours (kWh). This MX P100D can store 100kWh in the battery. The Model X uses about .4kWh per mile of electricity (400 watt hours per mile, which is a lot for an electric vehicle). Therefore, running this hypothetical system at full blast for 1 hour would use about 7.5 miles of range. That's actually not bad. I was honestly expecting it to be more before I did the rough estimate. To answer the comment above me, EVs use DC-DC converters that step the voltage down from the main 400V battery to 120V or 12V, which is much more usable for things besides the drive train.
