I'm a Rams fan since the 80s and live in NJ so I'm familiar with Giants football. I'm no fan of his, but you guys blasting Eli simply don't know what the hell you're talking about. Typical idiot NY fans with zero perspective and even less knowledge of the sport. If you watched what I've seen out of MY team's QB play since Kurt Warner left, you'd have a greater appreciation for who you've had leading your team the last 13 years. He currently has no offensive line. He has no running game. He lost his best receiver. yet his numbers are still respectable and the guy gives you an honest effort. The defense- the defensive backs in particular- are a colossal embarrassment, led by the biggest fraud in the sport, Steve Spagnuolo. And they're the ones who bear the most responsibility for this team's failure. And McAdoo is counterfeit. Any coach who watched that game and can't acknowledge his team quit is either blind or delusional.

LARamsfan You hit the nail on the head. Right after Steve Spagnuolo was fired from the Rams, he became the Defensive coordinator for the Saints, in which he presided over the all time WORST Defense of all time in 2012. Personally, I think Spagnuolo was pissed that he wasn't chosen to be an interim coach during Sean Payton's suspension during that year. Last year, the Giants Defense got upstaged by the offense with that boat trip. Its blatently obvious to me that the problem is Spags (who didn't get picked to be NY head coach).

Giants played unconscious defense the last five games of their season the year they upset New England in the SB. Spags parlayed that into a head coaching gig in which he was totally incompetent, then as you said followed it up with a putrid run in New Orleans. Came back to the Giants and once again fooled people last year into thinking he was good. This season has proven otherwise in the worst possible way, as his secondary has all but quit on him.

Hi Mike. As much as I would love to blame McAadoo, he is not the problem. Eli is the problem. People just don't want to admit it. He doesn't inspire his team. His body language says it all. The Giants defense is good except for Apple. The defense began to fall apart when they realized that the offense under Eli stunk. It was always a rapid 3 and out causing the defense to break down. Any defense spending that much time on the field would break down. What made Brett Favre famous and endearing to us was not his accuracy or his many super bowls he didn't win. It was the way he inspired his team. They would run through a brick wall for him. They would not do that for Eli. McAdoo told us a long time ago and a lot of people cursed him out for it. Why do you think they drafted a quarterback so early if they thought that Eli would be here for a couple more years. The Giants knew what was going to happen. They just didn't know Eli would frazzle so quickly.
