No question, if Francesa had at least a modicum of ability to laugh at himself, he'd be a lot better off. His show is far and away the best the FAN offers. He also is a lot more willing to engage in dialogue with callers than anyone else there, including the guy who's on before him, who "usta be a calluh". Worst of them all is Richard Neer who lets callers get maybe two sentences out before hanging up and spending the next two minutes sitting in the studio talking to himself.

@@luisspeciale4675 No, not to my knowledge. Although the caller's names don't normally resonate with me unless it's somebody who is a 'regular'. (Ira from Staten Island, Harvey from Dix Hills, etc.) I find Neer so annoying (& boring) with that schtick of his, hanging up on callers, then proceeding to talk as if the caller's been struck mute by Neer's brilliance, that I usually avoid listening to him. It's an insult to the intelligence of the audience, as far as I'm concerned. It's not something he does because he's got an update or a commercial break to get to. It seems like he just dislikes engaging in dialogue, like the caller's only purpose is to provide a subject for Neer to riff on for a couple minutes.

Yeah also Rob from Lake Success, Benny from the Bronx. Like I said Neer has a quick Hook. It used to be quicker. And he is never wrong. Never will he want to lose a argument with a caller because he's threatened by the caller because he doesn't want the caller to be smarter than him or he is afraid the caller is gonna show him up.
