It was on may, the 31 according to the book of Patrick Lemieux in "The Mike Oldfield chronology" Mike performed at the Royal Dublin Society Hall. Le concert a eu lieu le 31 mai 1980 au Royal Dublin Society Hall d'après l'excellente chronologie de Patrick Lemieux disponible sur amazon.

Thank you for posting. Excellent recording - a real find. There were several recordings from this tour and all different variations as Mike never played tunes exactly the same way, which makes this one another unique find.

Thanks for the upload. Brings back memories. Was my first live concert. I was just thirteen. I remember they had a screen on the stage at Simmons Court RDS, and one of the animated images was an MC Escher picture. I think it was for Ommadawn. Went there on my own because none of my friends were into Mike's music. It's a great performance.

Wow! We share a very significant milestone Peter. My first ever concert too. I was fifteen, and it was a complete surprise to me when my oul fella whisked me away for the night to see my idol. I will never forget it, and in particular the audience clapping time to Incantations part iv. I can also remember clearly the animations behind the stage, but I never knew until seeing your comment today whose work it was. I think there was the staircase, a water feature and if I'm not confusing it with another concert, a great white seabird wheeling around against blue skies and sea. Magical. And nice to share that memory. Wish me da was still around to enjoy hearing this.
