This band is like a top of the line Lamborghini and Haruna, the cute little drummer is the speed demon that drives this band from start to finish. Miyako is actually at least as good on piano if not better than she is on guitar if that is even possible. These power ballad where they have Miyako jump from piano to the guitar and riff and harmonize with Midori is just sensational, BTW each of these insanely talented women play multiple instruments. Now to hear the piano from the start try Empty Daydream ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/oonLkKiDgp5noLc), you also get to hear Asami's vocals really standout. Great reaction and these ladies are full throttle like this for the entire 2 hour show!!!!! They are all under 5' 2" but no band stands taller LIVE on stage than Lovebites!!!!

It´s perfectly possible. Miyako starts learning piano at the age of 3, she have a concurse-level piano playing. She only starts to learn guitar at the age of 18 and now if about 30 years old so make the math. Of course she have a lot of talent to reach that level in in this relatively short amount of time.

Yes a talent overload...you can see and hear it just flowing off the stange. Incredible ! There was a clip around for a whike where Miyako plays a Chin piece as an itroduction . She composed thissong using Chpin like chord changes. A masterpiece from her too.

Excellent. This band is firing on all cylinders and looking great while doing it. Live they are impeccable, even better than the album recording. I am a metal head from when I was 12 years old ( I am now 43) and Lovebites is one of the few bands a can say with certainty that they are a favorite (along with Dream Theater, Deep Purple). They are right know BY FAR the best Power-Thrash Metal band on the planet in every aspect: compositions, talent, virtuosity, lyrics, live and studio performances, image and attitude. These girls are the real deal. They are not merely an incredible “female” metal band. They are an incredible band full stop, irrespective of genre or age.The present and future of heavy metal music and as far as I am concerned, it was about time the future of the genre to be led by incredible female musicians. I grew up at an age where women in metal were a rarity and a curiosity both on stage and at the audience and I am happy to see that metal is getting more and more inclusive. A breath of fresh air. Thank you for a great reaction to a fantastic band.

She actually started the song on the piano before they all started playing. But the song was taken down and reuploaded without the 1 minute piano intro. God knows why.. Edit: typos. My fingers + phone keyboard = failure

Also 2024 is the world tour of Lovebites they will appear in Italy, Spain, France, Japan, Atlanta Georgia for first time in USA and will be adding dates. I am hoping for a more extensive USA Tour maybe they will also hit Canada and Mexico and Brazil

In the actual concert, Miyako starts the song with a Chopin etude on the piano. Unfortunately, the full version keeps being removed from KZbin but the Etude is still up on its own, if you want to see more of her piano skills. I think it was this clip which brought me here (as a lurker) many moons ago. Though Thrash Metal is my favourite old school metal subgenre, I think it's one of Lovebites' strenghts that they don't focus on just one subgenre (as many other bands do), but chose to take different styles to the next level! Been ages since you have reacted to Lovebites Have you heard Miho bassist and founder left the band in 2021 then they went on a year hiatus till summer 2022 when they auditioned bassists and went with Bass Prodigy at 20 and internet sensation with well over 650,000 followers already Fami. In 2023 they released the bands 4rth full album Judgement Day which was #15 of the 50 best albums of 2023 fan voted in Metal Hammer magazine as you recall in 2018 they won the Metal Hammer Golden God award for best new band. they have only gotten better. Asami worked on her pronunctiation of english and Midori and Miyako worked a ton on guitars when Midori wasn't coming in 2nd in body building competition. This song highlights Asami's vocals as she starts out acapella before the band joins in she creates an awesome atmospere before band melts your face. Holy War is the best one kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJikqaN7paqWpNE I have listened to every album now since I discovered them a week ago I was taken back by the amount of talent on stage and on Holy War they all even the Bassist Miho shreds Miho and drummer Haruna formed the band Miyako on Guitars Midori plays Guitar and Piano and Asami is an excellent singer I think she sings in the style of Bruce Dickenson of Iron Maiden. the way she phrases her words and holds her keys on big notes.

I'm not sure that I like the "Prom Queen" comparison. I've watched too many American High School movies where the prom queen is always the self centered, narcissistic mean girl, flanked by her two airhead sidekicks, who dates the football team quarterback and persecutes the geeky heroine. I don't think any of the Lovebites girls would have been that sort of Prom Queen. Midori would have been the popular drop dead gorgeous girl all the boys lusted after and the mean girls hated. Asami would have been the sweetheart nobody hated. Miho would have been the cool rebel hanging out with her buddies listening to Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Haruna would have been the bubbling little extrovert who didn't give a crap what anybody thought of her. Miyako would have been the quiet genius at the back of the class, biding her time and knowing she had more brains than the rest of the school put together!
