My youngest son who is 42 recently said he’s thinking about selling his vintage Ford pickup truck. He hasn’t put a lot of time or money in it as compared to other owners of vintage vehicles. However, he said I don’t want to get to the point where it becomes an idol. I agree wholeheartedly with him. Anything that we put before God and put all of our extra time and extra money on can very easily become an idol. We must always keep ourselves in check and keep Jesus first in everything we do!

I have always kept faith and trust in you Lord Jesus. Even as I constantly struggle to provide groceries and basic necessities for my children both of my sons are autistic. Like most single parents things are hard on me. I’m constantly struggling to pay my rent struggling to buy groceries. Paul confronts the churches many times with sternness for it is the only language they understand. The Lord showed me I was idolizing my grandchildren - years ago. I was treasuring and hanging on to them for love & purpose in life; instead if God. Storytime: I used to listen to subliminal, but then I realized that subliminal would make me feel beautiful today, and tomorrow I would start to feel ugly and disgusting again. Every time I would feel ugly, I would go listen to subliminal to make myself feel better. This was a repeated cycle. I was in the subliminal community for 2-3 years, my brother would tell me that I looked the same and that subliminal was not working for me, I would cry and be angry at him because I thought that he didn't get me and that subliminal worked, and all I had to do was to keep listening to them. I thought the reason I didn't feel like I was getting results from subliminal was because I didn't believe enough, so I would go to KZbin and look up the law of attraction and how to get results for subliminal listening to subliminal boosters, but nothing was working. Also, I wanted to get away from my problems, so I got into the shifting community. I wanted a life with my favourite anime character. I was in the shifting community at around the same time as the subliminal community. Not only that, but I was listening to subliminal shift, I think that the shifting community is messing with time and space, which is a dangerous thing, but I never got to shift. I don't know if shifting is real or not because I heard a lot of people say that they shifted after 4-7 years, and I was in that community for about 2 years. I also used to listen to Boyfriend ASMR because I felt lonely, which didn't help either, I still felt lonely. I got into Christianity because I was questioning some things, like do the bible says that or are people just adding to the bible, I didn't want people to tell me what the bible says, so I started to read it myself and that's how I started my journey with God, I live with a Christian family and God saved my life from dark magic when I was a baby(around 1-2 years old) but because of that I felt pressured by my family to be the perfect Christian and the fact that I was the only child in my family that was born into Christianity put more pressure on me, I started my journey like 10 months ago and yes I'm struggling with sin, but the Holy Spirit is changing me for the better day by day. I know I'm not perfect, and nobody is. Oh! Also, I remember questioning my sexuality because I never really attracted the boys in my school, but I was attracting more girls than boys, so I thought I was bisexual, God helped me go through that and I'm very grateful for that. I don't know what you're going through but I want you to know ( revelation 3:20 "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me") he's waiting for you to open this door for him. also don't you wonder how you've been listening to subliminals to fix your nose but you still are listening to those types of subliminal to this day? Side note: I used to think that subliminals are real because I see angel numbers, but then I figured out that brains are prone to recognizing patterns, and that's why we see angel numbers. I'm not educated on this topic but yeah.

I agree with everything said, except for the reasons given for those who attend or don't attend church. I believe community with fellow believers is necessary, but we are told to flee from strange doctrine, and most pastors and churches these days teach strange doctrine. I believe that we are to be careful whom we find our wise council, and whom we find our accountability and encouragement as we watch for the day approaching. Don't go to just any church, go to a church that teaches the Gospel of salvation through Christ alone, through grace alone. Find a church that teaches truth.

I agree. I experienced a health issue, was pretty sick for a few years and didn’t attend church. I’m considered disabled now, but I’m feeling much better. I still have bad days and I’m definitely not where I should be. I watch different pastors online and belong to online support groups of faith. I tried to go back to a couple different churches and they’re not the same as they used to be. Very feel good messages, or some very not Biblical teachings. I’ve heard some strange messages. I started checking to see what churches local have online messages so I can at least check that out first now. I want the local fellowships I had, but not at the expense of listening to wrong doctrine. I’ve actually been in the Word more and growing that way.

When Mike spoke about the Israelites saying we don't know what's happened to this man (speaking of Moses who was on the mountain having fellowship with God), it reminds me of those in this present day who once believed that Jesus is coming soon and have totally turned away or are living a compromised life.
