Then you're waited for the wrong thing. Jones only interest in owning an NFL team in Texas is what else it affords him politically. It ridiculous that that a radio host would have to speak to an owner about the teams performance. This isn't about accomplishment. This position on a chess board is about attention. Jerry remembers when the team was winning and nobody listened to him. So he recruits for just enough talent to keep the team in conversation so he has a very public say.

Summed up beautifully. The GM has not been GM’ing in Dallas. Cowboys fans knew what our Achilles has been every season. A lot of us kept asking for a big silverback gorilla at DT to shore up the D, they always wanted to plug in washed up vets there or go small and all it lead to was Todd Gurley running circles through them and bouncing them out of playoffs when Zeke and Dak were cooking their rookie year. This has set the precedent of what cowboys Defense is now.

Needs to step down. Jones model for NFL success was officially over when the 1990s gave way to the 2000s. The Dallas Cowboys haven't been a serious Super Bowl contender since 1996.

Without naming names this Authoritarian/Dictator speak sounds familiar. The Dallas Cowboys “brand” goes beyond Jerry Jones. It was one of the best in American sports before Jones bought the team. Jones has been successful as an honor but much of that success has been front loaded to the earlier days of his ownership even still the Cowboys have had by far the best record of any team that hasn’t reached a championship game or Super Bowl since 1996. The pressure is getting to Jerry as he obviously wants to win now. He’s obviously frustrated but threatening local radio show hosts with retribution if they don’t “fall in line” is a seriously bad look. For the Cowboy fans let’s hope Jerry isn’t too far gone to know he now has to fix his image as well as the team itself.

Jerry Jones sounds very Trumpian.... loves the camera, and wants the media to talk about him. CANNOT handle fair not even tough questioning & certainly not criticism. And cannot manage a team. He is not a quality GM. He is an old owner who likes "play" football GM. Cowboys are poorly constructed team, with no O-line & an overpaid B at best quarterback & zero running game. And only 1 offensive highly paid WR. The cowboys will not win 10 games & playoffs are a dream. They are 3 years away from being competitive. Their window is not shut. It's been shattered

Why did the Cowboys give Prescott so much money? You don't give that much cash to those kinds of players. They're known to quit working once they get paid. What Dallas needs is a refined pocket passer to get the ball to the playmakers. You shouldn't have to design your entire offense around a scrambling quarterback.
