Mike is not afraid to call in the experts for help.

The first show of changing the front concrete stoop tells about putting in a sonotube and taking it out afterwards!! Reminds me of the same game that was played in miami. In went the rebar and after it was inspected the rebar came out and the concrete poured. Shady contractors, the majority out there.

Fresh Baby Damon. It's so funny to watch these early episodes then watch more recent ones where Damon is boss on site.

these "contractors" dont want to get a permit because the job they are about to, are not intended to be done the right way and they know their work would not pass inspection, they dont want their work inspected, so they tell the home owners no permit is needed,
@krystalcoxx656212 күн бұрын
That's not always the case alot of homeowners don't want to get a permit cause the value of their homes go up and more taxes I've been doing home remods for thirty five years and most don't want gov. Involved in a exp. Carpenter work for myself and seen every turd job and garbage work and garbage carpenters

Mike has at least three jobs going at the same time. He also does The Holmes Foundation talks.

Mike is Wrong about the Permits ! I'm a Licensed Journeyman Electrician with over 58 years in the trade and I can do ALL of my own Electrical Work on my own home without a Permit if it doesn't involve pulling the Meter !

Most places I've ever lived that's not the case....Canada generally having more regulations on such things than the U.S. I'd lay odds he's absolutely correct there.
@susanwahl632215 күн бұрын
That’s what I said. Many of Mike’s crew are apprentices. They go on to become journeyman.
@krystalcoxx656212 күн бұрын
That depends where you live int the USA you can do that remember they are in canada
@RD9_Designs11 күн бұрын
Even in the US, it's different from state to state. Even within states, you can have different requirements.

This is job security for Mike!!!! Now have your slaves ohh I mean your team do all the work and you take the credit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike is such a hypocrite he does exactly the same thing he doesnt actually do any work he lets damon do all the work and Mike is the only one getting credit for the work
@jays10616 күн бұрын
but damon is not a sub contractor he is an employee big difference same really with any company say you work at a factory do you personally get credit for each thing you do while employed there or does the company/bosses get credit for your work? on some jobs he has a whole crew and they don't get to take credit for every little thing they do the company/boss does that is how life works.
@delyn1316 күн бұрын
@ no difference its exactly the same thing you dont see Mike getting his overalls dirty and helping do the work do you ? NO
@thraymn699616 күн бұрын
Yet another nonsense criticism. With Holmes Inspection you could maybe make that observation (though I see that chapter of the show more as an experimentation, having Damon take the reins and allowing Holmes to fade out of the show and remain only as a producer.) For the early shows, though, Holmes is there every step of the way.
