The house is so obviously rented (the empty kitchen counters are a dead giveaway). The kids barely touched their food on the second date (so set up). The parents' acting was horrendous, esp the dad's. But this was pure entertainment back then.

Watching this when I was younger & watching it now when I have daughters this age is really like watching 2 different shows!! It absolutely has to be scripted because if any guy, bf or not, said some of the things this guy said, especially any with sexual innuendo, my husband would've knocked him silly! No dad worth having the title of dad would EVER listen to a guy talk about his daughter like that. EVER!
