​@@D2018-p4vbut this scene is realistic. In real life, woman struggle to understand feelings, loyalty and relations between man. And here it's the case too. Donna thinks she understands what Harvey would think but no. Harvey is sad to see the student he trained leave, but proud of what he did of him, since he can now join a top firm. That's a loyalty language, a man langage. Harvey and Mike understand that, Donna don't and a lot of woman would not understand it.

What’s up with all the hate in the comments towards Donna. She tried to stop Mike cause she knew it would broke Harvey and that’s exactly what happened. And yet instead of convincing Mike not to leave the firm she told him to be the best investment banker. Cause she understood it was bad for Harvey but better for Mike to finally live an “honest” life. Same reason why snapped at Harvey after he told he confessed towards Scottie about Mike. So that made Mike going away completely worthless. It was literally Donna here who was actually sympathetic towards both men here

Harvey shouldve put Mike through law school as soon as they met, and by season 5 we would have a legit law graduate instead of a convicted felon. I know the short-cut taking is what makes the show, but it's this 'I'm stuck' scene that just makes me wonder what couldve been and all the chaos that couldve been prevented. Both Harvey and Mike failed Mike.

Problem with that is Harvey didn't know Mike so for all he knew Mike could've just been using him. By the time they developed a mentor-mentee relationship where Harvey would've done that, it would've been too late. Plus I think Mike's old dean got him blacklisted from Harvard and the firm didn't waive the Harvard rule until Rachel got Jessica to do it for her.

Mike also needed the money to in a bad way. His Gram was about to be put in a state funded institution. In order to be placed in a nice place, he needed money, bad.

Harvey knew nothing about this kid. He has no obligation to put some kid who hasnt proven anything through law school. Even if he DID put Mike in law school, he would still have to get another associate he doesnt like.
