Beller has been playing with Mike Keneally for 20 years or so. Zappa once said MK had the best ears in his band. MK has a bunch of really good records. Love em.

I'm not sure why all the complaints. This is a band of "zero individual ego" and infinite mutual respect for each other and the music. They are playing something very close to the version from "The Best Band You Never Heard in Your Life" which is quite ok, as MK was on that recording. No way in the world would those guys have been anything other than wildly happy to be on that stage with each other in that moment. Awesome piece of video; I'm lucky to have seen it. Thanks so much for posting.

I met Guthrie at a recent Houston gig. His lady took me on a nice walking tour of north London a few years ago. I had no idea who she was talking about. So, I was finally able to meet him. Lol, he already knew who I was from his lady telling him about me. Thank you Nathalie. Poor guy was recovering from COVID at the time.

compared to other shred session they at least got the wild comical zappa feel to it. vai never got that, he was always vai. even dweezil is missing this wildness and humor. so do all bands with zappas ex musicians. but funnily there are a few bands out there on youtube which catched that spirit, big bands , small jazz combos, solo musicians all sorts.
