I wonder why Mike Longo would mock the performance of Billy Porter. It kind of feels like he knew he didn't have the chops to get anywhere near that level of vocal ability so covered it up by camping it up instead. I'm not sure if it's a tribute or mockery.

yes I agree both Billy Porter and Callum Francis are exceptional as Lola and this guy seems to be mocking the song lets hope he never needs someones approval in his life and fails to get it, then he might understand the context of the Song. Kinky boots was exceptional and very moving.

Omgosh I hated this so much. It was a complete mockery. I understand purposely trying to do it but In the end I kind of was left disgusted and felt slightly disrespectful and I don’t know why. Just felt really farce like.

I have now watched this clip 10 times this morning. Your voice is magnificent and I did not expect what you did with the song which i made it all the more entertaining (god, that's a long sentence). So look forward to seeing other videos, but for the time being will continue to watch this.

Everyone is saying he mocked the performance...no one else even noticing the DIFFERENCE IN STAGES?!?! He is on a much smaller stage, doesn’t have mic like Billy had on Broadway and less room to move. He paid respects to the original performance with what little he had and both their singing are amazing. People just want to get mad at literally everything!! Jeez!
