Makes me think he didn't write any of those words and Brian was robbed at trial. What happened to the other 43 songs Mike claimed writing credits for that he didn't win in court and how much credit did he get on the 35 he did win (ie was it 1% or 5% or 30%, etc)?

He felt that suing Brian would improve their relationship! Somehow, I don't see how that could work! And I can't believe that Mike Love has been married nine times! Was he a nightmare of a husband, or were those relationships incompatible?

Mike Love looks great with the baseball covering his chrome bald head. Bald Mike still looking for love when everyone knows Bald Mike is one of the luckiest men ever and should be working in a Walmart as a greeter. Bald Mike's greatest lyric is "took my car to the hamburger stand now". I mean that is better than Lennon/McCartney and Dylan

The irony of the cousin’s last name…WOW! I do love like or respect him, so I refer to him as “the cousin”.’ Anyone who sues a family member (who BTW, has a mental illness, so can be very vulnerable) is a disgrace!! My opinion of this person is that he is so jealous of the fact that Brian is a musical genius and the cousins can’t even play an instrument. The cousin wants the public to think that he has just as much talent as Brian. Anyway with half a brain is able to see the truth Yes the cousin can sing. But so can a million other people. So because he chose money over family makes him a disgrace to the whole group!!! Hey Cousin..if you happen to see this…no matter how many times you sue the real talent of The Beach Boys, you will NEVER come close to being a good person. Nothing should be more important than family. 📌 5 marriages?? Well there you go.

Before I get to my main point Mike love will always be part of Beachboys, even The Wilsons said themselves, but Mike love ruined the beachboys as a band ,by saying to Brian Wilson stick to formular, well Bob dylan didn't stick to the formular and he was still successful. Basically I didn't like Mike love attitude towards Brian wilson. I wish Mike love would have been more Supportive.

If they had “stuck to the formula”, as Mike used to go on and on about (the formula being a strict lyrical diet of sun, cars, girls, surfing, and endless beach parties set to Chuck Berry guitar riffing)… their entire career would have ended in 1965. The sixties were gonna happen with or without Mike Love and his corny stripey shirt ‘formula’, and it would have swept the Beach Boys right under the carpet of history had Brian not stepped up to the plate with his forward-thinking creativity and talent. It was Brian who had the vision and the balls to break the mold. Mike fought against it as hard as he could, but once it started working in their favor (when Good Vibrations became their biggest-ever hit in ‘67), he sure was quick to change his tune and let Brian ‘fuck with the formula’ all he wanted to… just so long as he could try to take as much credit for it as Brian.

“America’s version of Lennon and McCartney”??? 😳 I suppose that would track if Lennon’s only contributions to the songwriting were coming up with lines like “She loves you yeah, yeah, yeah” and “When I saw her standing there”, and not much else. Brian all by himself was more like the “Lennon *AND* McCartney” of America. All Mike cared about was money, getting laid, and ‘sticking to the formula’. If they had “stuck to the formula”, as Mike used to go on and on about (the formula being a strict lyrical diet of sun, cars, girls, surfing, and endless beach parties, set to Chuck Berry guitar riffing)… their entire career would have come to an abrupt end some time in 1965. I haven’t done an actual song by song count, but I would venture to guess that Brian sung just as many, if not more leads on early BB’s songs. Later on it was Carl who handled a great deal of the lead vocals. Mike likes to pass himself off as *THEE* lead singer, as if it were all him on all those classic songs. The old adage “give an inch, take a mile” sums him up pretty accurately.

@@Shikta-poobah67 you can find a chart of the data online (Mike=140 Brian=127 Carl=86). Brian Wilson would even introduce Mike as their lead singer in some of their oldest recorded performances. People like to hate, but Mike’s importance in The Beach Boys is undeniable.
