Mike Myers is one of those artists who creates and portrays characters that stay with you long after the movie ends. It's a rare gift these days. His humor just lingers and his characters are so genuinely hillarious that they become instant icons and lines/ jokes that most of us probably quote any chance we get. There's been talk over the years of another movie, Mike hinted at it again in May this year, so it could actually happen. Although Verne troyer passed in 2018 so sadly there will be no mini-me if it does happen.

I honestly rarely laugh out loud. People can say what they want about the "The Pentaverate", but I laughed out loud many times. I always adored the absurd nature of Mike Myers sense of humor. I truly connect with it. I know some people might not, but as long as I enjoy my time it's all that matters. The Pentaverate caused me to burst in laughter a couple of times, which not many highly entertaining comedies could achieve.

Mike really is a transformationist when it comes to his film roles. He's got a natural sense of comedic timing in films, but he also has a well of characters and roles he can play in one film. He can pull off playing 4 characters in a comedy film while having them all have their own personalities it is really intelligent.

One (of the many) things I've always loved about Mike Myers is that... he's an entertainer who never forgot the first rule of being an comedian is comedy... not politics, not buzzwords, and absolutely NO preaching... it's to make EVERYBODY in the room laugh, no matter your or their beliefs, make... them... laugh... both at the stage, at each other, and at themselves, so that ultimately we're all laughing with each other. THAT'S entertainment...

As good as Mike Myers is at the silly comedies (Wayne's World, Austin Powers, etc), I REALLY have always loved 'So I married an axe murderer' and always wish he would do more of those more mellow type comedies like that. Now looking back on it, it is SO 90s - great nostalgia on top of what was already a great comedy.
