Yes , our chapel has a Yamaha EX5, It is old but the quality of sounds it produces is magic. it doesn't have a USB slot for recording but it requires a floppy disk , that is the down side . apart from that even though it is old i still love it .

i have a Modx 6 over my Roland Juno Ds88 but i have my Modx controlled by my roland. And actually i use my patches from my Modx blended in with my Roland patches. which creates a worship experience. Now, YOU guys have inspired me to upload my first video onto KZbin. I've developed an addiction to crafting unique sounds within the past year, and i think you guys just inspired me to upload my first youtube video lol.

Thanks Sean for a great interview. Wow Mike Patrick doing that stuff with a single Motif, he's a genuine master. I know he's recognized as one of the best sessional musicians going in the UK, but his own performances (I've seen quite a few on KZbin) are outstanding. I'd put him up there with Pat Metheny - no higher praise! Mike does so much for Yamaha, I'm hoping they gave him some new kit after his gear got stolen.

My favourite board is the Yamaha Montage 8 but unfortunately had to trade it away for a NS3. My go two board is the Nord Stage 3 just because of the fact it’s limited. Because of its limitations it has the feeling of an instrument. I can actually use mainstage with it,light and has the same amount of durability and quality in build as the Montage, Kronos, Fantom and (etc) on a lighter scale! It’s not as deep but it gets the job done. If anything that is the board musicians need! We don’t need 100000 sounds when we use about 5 and two or 3 of our customized patches...the Nord is great for that so customizable👊🏽

I have a Yamaha MOXF8 which i've loaded with MKS20 and a whole load of EPs using the 1gb flash. My very first one I used for production was the Yamaha MM6 which I still have. Yamaha's are really good for their warm tone.

I have a Nord Stage 3 compact and a Yamaha MX61. But since I have the Nord, I almost never use the Yamaha anymore. I try to work with splits, modwheel, etc. But yeah I think I know about 50% of the board (most challenging is the synth part) but the journey to learn more is half the fun right? Depends on what your wanting to do... but during this session I was able to connect it up
