I like the bit at the end where he talks about alignment & the attacks of the notes.

Why he does not play songs like Out and In, The Sunset, Sun is still shinning, Candle of life, Lost in a lost world, My Song, House of Four Doors Intro or others? Those songs have very good and memorable mellotron sound. How is it we are here? Regards to Michael Pinder from the Dominican Republic

I WAS THERE! I attended this premiere at The Egyptian in 2010! The presentation was fabulous! But you can see it in Pinder's demeanor, that that old beastly Mellotron that someone "donated" to the premiere that night for him to play, was drastically out of tune! Beats the living snot outta me, why they didn't wheel onto the stage, one of those BEAUTIFUL Mellotrons that were featured in much of their early films & "videos" back in the day? (Probably 'cause NONE even exist anymore!)

I like how the second guy comes back for the tissue. :3

@chrisbern75 I think if the beginning of the tape isn't lined up right, then it's cutting off the soft beginning of the note and making it more abrupt. I would ask Dianna (the filmmaker) to be sure.

The tape alignment is set perfectly - for the flutes. As all the notes on the tapes don't line up exactly, one has to pick a sound (of the 3) and set it so it's perfect. On this machine, the tapes are set up for the flutes. "Terrible machine" - not really. I love the sound of the MkII but the 400 is much more reliable.

Ship it to me and I'll make it right. It should play perfectly for all sounds. I can make it sound better than new.
