The ref called it at the right time before Galindez would get really hurt. Many a fighter had his career ruined by refs who let it go a little (or a lot) too long. When Buster Douglas had his fight called against Tony Tucker, it saved his career and the rest was history. Otherwise, in my opinion, he never beats Tyson.

I would love to see the compubox stats here. Galindez must have averaged no more than 15-25 power punches a round.

I like Rossman here, nice stand up boxing but he's also giving it in the brawling when he has to. Hear the commentary mentioning Rossman "bringing the title back" to the US so they must not of liked it being held for a few years in Argentina. I like this referee too, doesn't get involved and lets them fight inside.

This would have to have been Rossmans best night. And I think Galindez wasn’t anywhere near his best. Maybe took Rossman lightly & it’s possible he didn’t train proper their first time around. If he had I believe the 2 nd fight would have been this one. Rossman didn’t improve at all after this.

Victor Galindez had to cut too much weight before the fight in order to make weight and had nothing left in the later rounds. I was really disappointed in Victor after this fight but he came back with a vengeance the next time they fought.
