Ride along for a few laps in this Gen 5 Viper. This did not start life as an ACR, but is more or less that now. Certainly a bit more time in it with some setup, but not too shabby for street legal!

The shifts and throttle inputs sound so 'leisurely' and the steering & braking so smooth...yet you are laying down impressive laps. An awesome demonstration that smooth is fast.

Mike "The laws of physics obey ME" Skeen with another awesome video. It sucks that Dodge stopped making the Viper. That was my dream car... I wanted to buy one of these brand new.

Nice, Mike! One of these days, you gotta post that Oskar lap. Half the power, all the excitement.

Did I not post it? It’s lost and gone then from my end.

@@MikeSkeenRacing I never saw it. The world missed a classic lap and Oskar’s shining moment.

Great driving as usual. The owner needs to be smooth and patient like your driving. There is such a huge frequency mismatch between the tires and what seems like the whole car. Dodge needs to tighten some bolts!!!

So is this car fast or is it just Mike’s Piloti shoes? It’s gotta be the shoes. 🙂 Great driving in a beast Mike. 👍🏎️

Its hilarious to me how low you let the rpms drop in the slow corners. In most cars you have to keep the revs up but not in a viper with all that big liter torque. What does that rev to anyway 4,500? lol. Looked like fun.
@MikeSkeenRacing9 ай бұрын
Nah, it goes til 7k or so. I don’t remember exactly. But yeah, quite a bit of torque on demand!

Great stuff! You make it look like easy work.

Mike, the left just before Hog pen.... How much of that curb is "safe" to use. I noticed on that last lap you took much more of that curb than I would have thought was OK. I this possible because the right side is loaded up and it's not a on throttle zone?
@MikeSkeenRacing9 ай бұрын
Well, that’s not a simple answer. You can use all of it and more depending on the car. Being straighter is usually “safer” (and faster) than turning more (going around it), but depending on shocks/stiffness the car may hop more than you want. Like most things in life, it’s a compromise.

Is that the acr?
@MikeSkeenRacing10 ай бұрын
More or less. I think it started as a TA, but has most of the ACR stuff now.
