I always felt Tomlin was a player coach, the way retired players talk about him is just in the highest regard. After watching hard knocks it’s clear to see why. Also the respect he has for the game and even divisional rivals and the guys he goes against year in and year out. He never undermines opponents and it never feels like Belichick where he say “this guy is great” but you feel it’s for the cameras and can tell he doesn’t believe it

Now Dean peas is getting the credit for turning around season. Do you remember when he was coordinator here. He stunk to point Harbaugh parted ways. Then went to Titans and eventually same thing happened. Our problem was Williams and Jackson. If we would have kept Gino Stone wouldn't have been in situation from get go. i don't like Peas getting credit. He is deserving not saying that but not all. Give it up to Oher as well.

Playing your best in December and January is when it’s most important and there’s been plenty of good teams that lose their edge of just don’t have the legs in the playoffs. I feel we’re getting to a place to make a run. I’m also hopeful Monken will learn from last year. I’m also hopeful the offense will start to play loose instead of the “we’re down by 1 point, let’s play like it’s the last 2 minutes in the fourth quarter.” I understand when the defense is so bad you have to play that way but the defense is starting to hold so hoping we stick to consistently driving and taking shots instead of trying to chunk out yardage. Also, hard play action in first down would help

As long horribaugh is our coach they will continue to look at us as possible food. They all feel like they have a shot to beat us. They don’t respect the mind of our coach. Tomlin and harbaugh knows Tom is the better coach. The fact that the ravens are a far better team than the Steelers talent wise and Tomlin has a better record than us speaks volumes. If Harbough and Tomlin switched teams and we reset the season, the ravens would be 14-0 and the Steelers would be no better than 3-11
@tsnamm5 күн бұрын
Totally agree... Harbaugh has had top tier squads and never made the most of them. Ownership will not make a change unless it falls completely apart. Honestly they should promise Monken that he will be the new HC, and push Harbaugh out the door when his contract is up... But they won't, and some team will sweep in and take him.

Don’t fall for Mike Tomlin’s bs anymore ….he comes out during the week and butters the ravens up during press conferences giving them their flowers and credit and they eat it up every time and Sunday comes and all that respect is out the window for 60 minutes it’s nothing but disrespect and we play soft because we want to respect them so bad …being 1-9 the last 10 games regardless who played and who didn’t is enough reason to stop showing the Steelers respect and get ready to steamroll them every time moving forward
@bigfred41084 күн бұрын
Agreed..ppl in the comments calling him genius. All I see is a competent coach that has his team fighting for a division title against us stating the obvious..
@trup1aya4rea14 күн бұрын
You think the ravens “play soft”because they respect Tomlin to much. That ain’t real life man. Our defense was giving it to them all game. They had to settle for field goals - even when we gave them a short field with turnovers. We lost because of turnovers. And even with the turnovers, we should have won, but Tucker missed 2 kicks.
@daREALtruestory4 күн бұрын
@ you think I’m referring to the team playing soft because of one aspect of the game and the defense isn’t usually the problem although they haven’t solved the George Pickens problem yet …it’s the offense that’s been getting bullied and pushed around the last few seasons either in the trenches or we are clearly losing the psychological battle I don’t even have to list the examples but JPJ talking smack to OBJ last year, Justice Hill and Likely both getting the ball snatched out of their hands this year. Uncharacteristic Derrick Henry fumble. Zay flowers dropping wide open passes when Tj Watt is in his vicinity ..Lamar continues to have his worst passing efficiency whenever he plays the Steelers all of these go into factor why the Steelers are overly confident whenever they play us regardless how well we are performing that season and it’s why they believe they have our number because yes at the end of the day it’s just playing soft and that’s not ravens football, we go out of our way to play a physical game whenever we play them and every time they punch us in the mouth there’s no response and not to mention the PENALTIES being 1-9 vs one team is not a fluke they are clearly in our heads at this point and a loss Saturday would just be devastating but if we don’t go back to being the bullies instead of them then the results will be the same
@daREALtruestory4 күн бұрын
@ long story short. Tomlin goes out there and props the ravens up like we’re this well coached, well oiled machine that can’t be stopped and it’s going to be a beautiful, clean game of football played then we go out there and play an ugly 60 minutes of rivalry football and I like ugly football but the ravens haven’t won an ugly afc north contest in a long time

Cracks me up how people get mad at Harbaugh and EDC for make moves that benefit the team. They tried, Johnson, Williams, Simpson and none of them worked out. In fact they were so bad it cost the team games. So getting them off the field has made them more complete. Everyone upset that they picked these guys in on fashion or another and they didn't work out. That happens, especially in sports. Despite this "drama" from under performing the end result is what will matter, not all this shallow talk prior to the actual outcome.
