Mike: 'Tony Blair ruined Great Britain'

Mike thinks Tony Blair is responsible for ruining Great Britain.
"Most of what we're seeing today is the result of things that he did and changes he made to the constitution. He put liberal wet lefties in charge of the institutions and the civil service, and he signed us up to the European court of human rights."
Political commentator Richard Taylor agrees: "Britain is broken. He wanted to be the president of the EU. His open borders policy has absolutely ruined our country."

Did Tony Blair ruin Great Britain? How much of the blame for 'broken Britain' should he share?
@hellsbells7271

Just as much as the diabolical Tories, these people only care about themselves and their bank accounts, none of them give a damn about the British people. Blair introduced the open door policy for migrants, and boy that door has never closed since, it's been wide open every day letting god alone knows who into the country. He committed war crimes in Iraq, and for these despicable services, he was awarded a knighthood, what is going on.

If we use Mike's demented logic.. that means if Labour win the next General Election in 2024 and are in power for twelve years and the UK is in a poor state in 2036.. we can say "it's Boris Johnson's fault." 😂

Bliar is not wholly responsible but he certainly set us on the road to ruination that we now find ourselves on. Perhaps if subsequent Conservative goverments had actually been Conservative, Cameron was a Blairite, May was just useless and Johnson is a lefty liberal, we would not be where we are now.

Tory Blair followed on from Thatcher's rhetoric, it was her that sold us out to the Americans, anyone over the age of 40 knows this. All other reasons for broken Britain are either global or Brexit related.

Why hasn't jelly Johnson with his 80 seat majority reversed a lot of Blairs terrible policies. Could it be that him and the entire front bench are and have been for some time now, centre left. Jelly Johnson "let's build back better in a femine way, in a gender neutral way" At COP 26 "we're one minute to midnight" Rishi Sunak at COP 26 "We need to rewire the global financial system for net zero" Do these weak woke A-holes sound like right wing conservatives? Massive borrowing, high taxes, their net zero "green" b*llocks" Their only strategy of fixing any issue, by throwing money at it! Johnson elevating the NHS up to pseudo religious status with his deranged pot banging, clapping and rainbows in windows, when the entire thing needs reforming! Johnson doing his ridiculous publicity stunt with the county lines drug issue, where they'll spend millions in tax payers money, and interrupt the flow of drugs for about 5 minutes! Johnson doing absolutely nothing about illegal immigration, other than again political gesturing! A "tory" government locking the country down and tanking the economy because of covid, and jettisoning the strategy that was in place to deal with a pandemic! Sunak knocking 5p off a litre of fuel, as if that's going to make the slightest difference to anyone who has to travel to work by car! They are effectively new Labour. They need to change their name to the consocialists!

Absolutely agree!! He took us into an illegal war! He opened our borders without restrictions (unlike other EU members) when new Eastern European countries joined the EU. Under his watch, our Health service was ruined by practically doubling GP's salaries whilst cutting their hours, in some cases by half and abolishing weekend surgeries. This caused a massive strain then and now on our Hospital emergency services. G.P's are now choosing to work part time, or taking early retirement on their gigantic pensions whilst the rest of the country's workers are able to retire at 66, with this age increasing!!

There's nothing lost the whole world is in chaos, EU immigration was here before Blair and Brexit has undone it the way it was before the influx of European immigrants which has nothing to do with Blair. Concerning the energy crisis now is a world energy crisis affecting all of us, after the pandemic the energy consuming was high and then the sanctions cut off energy. Energy inflation spreads on its dependants. It was wrong time to not be energy efficient with renewables. Now we get to burn coal and put more pressure on the climate and risk long term damage which can affect us in the future unfortunately. The end of the 2008 housing cycle was over pretty bad too

First thing we do is elect a nationalist party, Second thing we do is everything that happened from 1997 up to now needs to be put back to how it was and make new laws to protect against the damage occurring again. Third thing, Find Tony and all his cabinet cronies who co signed everything Tony did and imprison them in the harshest way possible. Bring back the death penalty for all involved and execute them in the most brutal way possible. It doesn't have to be direct. Just break their limbs and throw them in the remaining Oubliettes that we have. The remains after death are to be gibbeted in their hometown and the like to serve as a reminder to anyone else who decides to follow in their footsteps.

Tony Blair has been devastating for Britain and the working man.. Even under Margaret Thatcher every working man could afford to buy or rent a home (on just one wage) and when our children grew up there was social housing for them and their families.. It all ended in 1997 when Blair got into power and championed low bank interest rates and allowed the greedy to descend upon housing like a pack of wolves and drive up the cost of housing way above what the working man can afford.. We've been held to ransom ever since... Greedy landlords are the principle driving force for wage rises, the cost of manufacturing and the cost of living in Britain.. Even the taxpayer has to subsidise their greed.. They rubbed their hands together with glee as that idiot Blair threw open our borders and allowed an overwhelming flood of tenants flood our country.. Blair is the reason every single city has huge number of homeless people living and dying on our streets.. His actions have been that of an enemy rather than a leader.. HE SOLD US OUT!!!

From Heath to Johnson they've all done damage but in Blair's case the damage was deliberate, possibly irreparable and far wider ranging. I think Thatcher's selling of council housing and privatisation programme has also come back to bite us on the arse but that is as much to do with inept leadership since as it was the original policy.

Selling the council houses at a discount was generally a good policy that created wealth for millions and those who inherited. The real mistake was not replacing those sold houses thats caused the housing mess we are in. Of course the problem was then exacerbated by Blair opening the floodgates to all and sundry

Don't forget, even by now the proportion of ethnic minorities is large enough to influence Britain's immigration policies (Rwanda plane) and rights to free speech (the lady of heaven). As the flooding of the country with suicidal levels of immigration continues apace the tipping point is not far when their influence turns into control. I have never seen a country self destruct more than Britain in her hard gained freedom of The European Politburo.

Whilst Blair was very, very bad, Harold Wilson was much, much worse. He set the stage for the disastrous 1970s, too much power to the Unions, too high taxes, too much nationalisation of industry. Leading directly to a decade of stagflation, mass unemployment, miner's strikes, power cuts, 3 day weeks, rubbish piled high in the street, the country having to be rescued by the IMF, the slow destruction of British industry, and Britain joining the EU at precisely the wrong time. I fear we may be going the same way if the Govt. & employers give in on strikes, with a 1970s style wage-price spiral, leading to persistent high inflation, economic stagnation and mass unemployment. Only this time without the good music.
