Great tune. Has some of the old White Lion ballad feel to it, and reminds a bit of something Bon Jovi could have been singing. Cute little tune. The intro is really great.

When I lived in Boulder, CO in the 1970s, I knew of a band, "Navarro" that wrote a song, "Layin' My Life Down for You".. I believe they later worked with Carole King..or that is what I heard. Wonder what became of them? Hope they upload that song up here. Oh..and one of the males in that band ..do not know his name..my girlfriend..an excellent musician herself, had a crush on him, but married another excellent musician [Marty J.]

When I read that part, in "Girls Like Us"..about Jackson Browne being [allegedly] physically abusive to at least one woman, I was crest fallen, for, before that, I had always loved Jackson Browne tunes..had learned many of them, since my teens, on guitar, like "Jamaica Say You Will", "Song for Adam", etc. Boy, was I shocked.

Supposedly, that band, Navarro, got their inspiration from Jackson Browne. Ok. But, since reading the book, "Girls Like Us", about the lives of Joni Mitchell, Carole King and Carly Simon, in that book, I read about how Jackson Browne abused, including physically, at least one female lover in his life. Still..I liked Navarro's song, "Layin My Life Down"..nothing to do with this song, just a similar title..
