If I know I have a chance against that professional boxer in a street fight, then there's nothing really impressive about them to me. Even 135 I don't care too much about, but at least they not tiny-tiny. They're like 5'8" or so on average and have some size when they rehydrate. These asian and hispanic guys in the baby divisions are like 5'4".

Small guys are beasts in combat sports. Not just naoya, you got tenshin, DJ, rodtang, nong o, saenchai and a shitton others. Even the ones I know personally, the smaller they are, the less you wanna fuck with them. I doubt it's a coincidence. Being small in the fight scene is tough, so the fact that they're still in there means twice as much. Same logic as respecting the old guy in a job where men die young.
