No argument that Mike Tyson is ABSOLUTELY the better boxer. But the problem is that time catches up with us all and while Mike Tyson has more skills and talent in his little finger than Jake Paul has in his entire body He's also a 60 year old man. Jake Paul is a massive and athletic man 30 years younger than Tyson. I hope Mike Tyson wins too but he's not the same guy he used to be. I do love imagining Jake Paul fighting Mike Tyson when he was 27. I mean... I don't often imagine watching a murder but I would pay money to see that. 😅

You guys don’t understand the difference between a good athlete and one of the most elite. Mike Tyson was like 220 since he was 13. Olympic level athlete. If he’s on the good stuff he is not a normal 58. He just needs to be like 42 year old Mike to win.
@TJuice19863 сағат бұрын
He slapped him because Jake stepped on Mike’s foot. Mike was in his socks and Jake was wearing shoes and stepping on his foot. Which Mike has been on the record saying he hates when people step on his foot. As for the girls no reacting? They aren’t paying attention to it and it was quick. Watch Mike come out and step on the scale. He’s got that wild primate look to him. He’s edgy and tired of the disrespect.

After seeing the open work out I do not like this at all. Mike does not look stable as he shuffles across the ring which leads me to believe he is just going to get jabbed off balance for as long as he can take it before getting brutally knocked out. Pray I'm wrong but that's an old man who has a risk of being seriously damaged for profit and does not sit right with me.

Yeah, it's not looking good. However, I'm hoping what we're seeing is just Mike reserving his limited energy for the days before the fight and he's able to overperform on fight night. Gotta remember he's old so a real training session where he would look good practicing might be too hard on his body.

Jake aint no real boxer he got outclassed and pushed back by Fury. Mikes power is 100% in tune n ready to deal I had an amateur run until i got hurt at 26 if u havent been hit by a real puncher there is no preparation only the experience and deep water is very cold.
@wadesunderland3826Сағат бұрын
I disagree. Mike's style always has been a little awkward. The way he closes distance with his bobbing and weaving. Setting up the Uppercuts and hooks. He still looks pretty explosive with his movement, setting up his punches and whatnot to me. With the power he still has, which is the last thing to go on a boxer, and his technique in that style alone, he's still a dangerous guy. Especially for a dude who's fighting almost 30lbs heavier for the first time in his life. With all the training in the world, thats still different in a fight. Old or not he has those natural instincts to stick and move built in. I think that will pay dividends in a fight like this
@RaphaelHameed3 сағат бұрын

@mattfuentes467812 минут бұрын
Even in 2024, 58 is ancient for combat sports buddy, accept it. Regardless of all the PEDs he takes he’s still fighting a young guy who is probably also off PEDs and completely shifted his content career into training full time for the last however many years. Also with all the money Jake’s made, he’s been able to afford the best boxing trainers the world has to offer. I’m really really hoping Mike can still activate his fast twitch muscles enough to generate knockout power but Idk Father Time catches up to everyone. People are still dying of natural causes at a young age, it’s not like the average life expectancy has gone up a crazy amount over the last 40 years either.

Mike is my boxing hero. He is the champ. That man’s career as a boxer is legendary. He is still in the game. I think Jake will still underestimate Mike. But I also must face the reality of boxing and Mike’s own quote. “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.” Mike is a humble man and a beast. Even He will admit there are no guarantees in the ring. Anything can happen. Either way. The fight will be legendary. My heart goes out to both of them. But the chaos of the ring plays no favorites. Both fighters need to remember themselves and focus themselves. “Talking is over.” May fate bless them both.

I feel like a lot of the commentary surrounding this fight addresses the massive age gap, but I think we forget some of Jake’s shortcomings. Against Woodley, Perry, and Fury, especially on the back foot Jake would cross his feet. I think that slap was real, because Jake didn’t even flinch. He didn’t see it coming at all. If you know a shot is coming, you’re going to move with it. You can see Jake processing what just happened, he has to put himself back into “sell the fight” mode.

This is an interesting match up that none of us would’ve expected years back. Mike Tyson was a heavyweight champion of the world who was respected both inside and outside the boxing community. Jake Paul was most known for his older brother, Logan Paul. He went in to make his own content and songs that blew up in the KZbin community. He then went to the boxing world with little to known skill, thus developing his skill over time. He’s not the best, and definitely isn’t the worst. This is going to be tough on Mike because of course, age is a big, big factor with athleticism. He has the skills, knowledge, history. But I see him being slow, but packing punch. Paul has the ability to develop his skills against an all time great in the boxing community. He’s younger, stronger, and he has the potential. Again, this is kind of unfair as if this was the same age to age fight, Tyson might have the upper hand no doubt. But this is a fight Tyson/Paul agreed to, so may the best man win.

And Mike has mentioned before that something he really hates is getting his toes stepped on..

I see this fight as a no win for Jake Paul. If he loses, he lost to the old guy that used to be Mike Tyson. If he wins, he beat up the old guy that used to be Mike Tyson. That overhand right with the head dip, and the accidental headbutts Jake loves so much (along with the hugging) might just get his ear bit off.

Tyson fought 56 professional boxing fights Paul has really only had one against Fury. All the other guys were MMA fighters and they fight at a larger distance than a true boxer does. I love Mike, and you're right, skillwise he definitely is the best boxer, BUT i feel Jake definitely got the age and cardio on his side. And unless Tyson finds a way to end it quick, once it goes the 4th round, the age gap will start to take it's toll i feel. It's only a biological advantage that Jake has. That's why he always picks the biggest names in the sports but only after their peak prime already ended. And he never tried to fight a real proffesional boxer in his prime. We all know it, but we still want mike to overcome the age difference, and with his skill level if he can do it fast i do see that happening also. But ofcourse jake is gonna wanna run away from those vicious combo's but i think mike is gonna try and knock him out fast so he doesn't need to deal with the stamina drain. Gonna be very interesting which way this will go, and how or IF they will deal with adversity in their gameplans! Very excited for this one!
