Mike is more like Jack Dempsey than sonny Liston Mike and Jack Dempsey both had many similarities Both come from a poor rough background Had to fight to survive Both become heavyweight champions of the world Both are aggressive and very violent taking down bigger men in the ring Both got bullied for their voices as young kids Mike had to rob and steal to survive Dempsey would fight any man for money in saloons train-stations backyard-contests mining towns ETC he’d even fight with no food in his belly sometimes going a few days without it very tough men and are very inspirational If you didn’t know Mike Tyson’s boxing hero was Dempsey dressed like him and even had the same hairstyle as him and the same ferocious behaviour in the ring

You don’t transition from being a cold blooded monster into becoming a kind hearted well natured person. Truth is Mike was always a great person, who was unfortunately surrounded and controlled by animals who pretended to give him what he desperately needed, love. What we saw from Mike in his darker days, was an extremely powerful but lonely and scared young man who only knew one way to survive. I am so grateful to be able to see where he is today. His stand up / broadway show was absolutely amazing and very necessary, for him and the world to experience. Salute to Iron( physically and mentally strong)Mike Tyson. Always a Champ!!!

A perfect example of how a man takes his lot in life and spins it into gold. Weaving through hardships and triumphs. The highs and lows. The gains and losses and learning the lessons, heeding the signs and moving to make himself better. Proud of you Mike. You are a real champ in more ways than one.

There is no bigger interview than Tyson. I was a young teen, when at least 20 family members got together to watch a Tyson pay per view fight and it only lasted a minute or so. We can never get back those Tyson, Jordon, Biggie/Tupac years.

Drink Champ honors the legends, but to see Mike Tyson honored as a Hip-hop legend reminds the world that Hip-hip is a culture. A fabric woven in depths of the underground by those determined to make it to the top. And to see Tyson choke up honoring ''the master'' Ali, reminds us all where, when, why and how our culture was birthed. Nothing but love for the legends upon who's shoulders we proudly stand. Thank you for giving us a reason to forever walk with our heads held High. For the Culture...

I love N.O.R.E. his interviews are hilarious, but he was not ready for this interview. Mike went over his head like airplanes at an airport. N.O.R.E. was playing catch up, he deflects the flow of the interview to stay in it. I remember when Joe Rogan interviewed Mike and that was a great interview, Joe handled the interview, but a few times was stumped by Mike. Watching a Mike documentary as reference is not preparation. Mike a Legend.

You're right. Nore acts a bit too corny sometimes, well a lot of times, to the point that it's frustrating to watch sometimes when he interviews people. Just when you know the guest is about to take you to a whole new level, a deeper level about themselves, Nore always kills it by always having to say something. The main part of being a good interviewer is being a good listener, which means you just got sit back and shut the fuck up, and let the guest complete his sentence.
