That first 1:30 with Tyson is brutal. You get through that though, and you have a fighting chance. Dont feel bad, I didnt beat him until 20 years after the game came out lol.

Don Flamenco first fight, just left right him and he'll stay stunned so you don't run out of hearts blocking.

This, to this day, is one of my favorite video games of all time! I remember playing this with my dad when I was a kid. thanks for doing this :)

That’s awesome! Gaming memories with the parents are special. My dad didn’t care for video games but i remember every single time he played one with me.

If you hold select in between rounds you can really soak in Doc's words of wisdom and regain some "stanima" 😉 once per fight And with Don Flamenco, punch him once to get him to attack, dodge, then hit him in the face" left, right, left, right, etc. Keep that pattern going and he won't be able to throw a single punch. He has a different pattern for the rematch (and for the wii version) The sound effects in this game are the best. It's extra funny to see them dubbed onto real fights. Great job with the video. Looking forward to the next

Thanks! And yeah, the sound effects combined with the crazy faces they make when they get punched are fantastic. Especially in the NES days when sprites were typically expressionless. And oh man, I can’t believe I said stanima….TWICE….I MEAN, its um….my uh, accent that makes it sound like that. Haha 😅

@TheAgingGamer I have the same accent. It's from being an overtired father. No stanima left but we can name all the bluey characters. Jesus. Stanmina sounds right to me now. I can't think the correct word. I'm going to sleep haha.

Haha, Popinski is HARD! It took me a while to get his pattern down. I’d say besides Tyson and Sandman, he’s the most difficult. 😖

I m an expert at this game and its one of my favorite nes games. I m sad you didnt beat tyson, but tbh on modern flat tvs its not possible due to the lag of sad tvs. I m sure you didnt beat him because of that - and to save everybodys time. Please remember, you need an old crt tv to beat tyson. And thats the only possible way. Sadly mtpo is one of those games that need original tv set up to be played properly.
