Absolutely incredible. Fought the same way in sparring as he did in actual matches. Calm, accurate, and fierce. This Tyson was unbeatable, and jake paul is lucky this isnt the version of tyson hes fighting.

Kevin Rooney was who Tyson dumped at the advice of Don King. Rooney knew that Robin Givens was a mistake and not what Mike needed at that time in his career. Mike didn't like that very much and fired Kevin. Biggest mistake of his career! Had he not fired Kevin Rooney, he probably would have avoided the Desiree Washington scandal and never lost to Buster Douglas.

@@TheSyconerd That may be true. I wasn't part of that circle so my conclusion is only based on what I came up with in my research. No doubt that there could be errors. I guess it's just life. We all go down different paths, eventually looking back realizing that we made some bad choices. Mike Tyson in response to someone praising his title belts admitted that he only bled for garbage. He got older and his values changed. When we are young, certain things are more important to us. When we get older and gain life experience, we suddenly realize it was nothing more than vanity; a chasing of the wind. Words of Solomon in the Book of Ecclesiastes.

The headgear protects from artificial damage such as cuts and bruising to some extent. It doesn't protect in any other way and especially not from brain damage of any sort. And to add to that it diminishes the pain of punches somewhat.
