aka he calls it like it is and since you dont know much about boxing and are a huge tyson fan you can't handle the truth because hurts, and you're too narcissistic to consider the possibility that a world renown boxing trainer and historian knows more about boxing and mike tyson than you do.
@DerEinwolfe2 ай бұрын
@AUDIOANDWHIPS2 he isn't wrong about Tyson, though. Until Mike made his turnaround AFTER he retired, he was 0-3. Like Teddy said, you aren't the strongest until you overcome the TRUE challenges. Mike had 3 - dealing with the death of Cus in a healthy manner, turning down Don King and staying with Jacobs, and fixing himself up after his very first loss when he showed decaying skills. All three time, he failed. Now, that isn't to say negative about Tyson as a boxer - the man had the most potential of all heavyweights to ever hold the belts. However, prior to Tyson apologizing to Teddy for threatening to rape his daughter and overcoming his demons, Tyson was constantly losing against his own self-destructive tendencies. People ignore the fact that Teddy was speaking a out Tyson as a PERSON not as a boxer when he said Tyson was 0-3 in life BEFORE Mike turned his life around.

@DerEinwolfe Tyson never threatened to rape his daughter. He was young around her age & made move on her thinking she felt the same

I'm 48 years old been watching boxing all my life & I don't care what anybody says Mike as I say again had he not left his original team he would probably be undefeated King Kong of heavyweights . Fully mentally prepared & @ his peak he was joe Frazier Sony Liston jack Dempsey rolled into 1 ,& I'm not disrespecting Lewis , Holyfield who are incredible both amazing 💪💪 But Mike mentally prepared It's a F------------ war alright Lewis respects Mike so much he knew he had him @ a bad time . It shudders me to no everybody knows how good he was 😒 & finished so quickly 🥊🥊🥊🥊

From the ticking time ring walk music, to the mythical backstage story. Of Spinks promotor seeing Mike Tyson smash holes in wall in warm up preparation for the fight. Watching the fight the commentators voice it themselves, “ there is electricity in the air in anticipation, waiting for Mike Tyson to enter the arena and head to the ring “. To the look of Fear on Spinks face as they stare into each other’s eyes whilst the Ref gives them the talk. Then the bell ringing. You won’t find a fight with such quality footage in order to capture that kind of energy. The smell of death, execution. That kind of energy was reminiscent mostly during the pre war era.

I’ll always remember that intimidating music Tyson walked out to. Such a spectacle. Really wish I had been old enough to enjoy it live. Tyson must have felt completely invincible after that fight

That was Tyson’s night. No heavyweight could have taken Mike out. Same with the Muhammand Ali that fought Zora Folley. The Sony Liston that defeated Floyd Patterson. Nobody could have beaten them that night

356! Alexander! Listen- You Tysoned this production right out of the park. Superb work, good sir. Would you take a request? I would love to see what you could do with Atlas, Rooney, Cus, and others speaking about what it takes to be a champion…mentality…perseverance. The world needs to hear that, as we have few Alexanders and some of us, fewer years to conquer. If you would, I would greatly appreciate it.

It's his instincts you can't teach that you can develop them but some don't have them. The environment he was a child in he had to be hypervigilant for survival.

He beat Spinks that night bc Spinks shit himself in the dressing room prior to the fight bc his trainer made Tyson re wrap his hands n Tyson was mad and started popping holes in the wall n Spinks could hear it.
@k1dn1ce764 ай бұрын
Apparently making him have his hands re wrapped was intended to throw Mike off his game but the plan completely backfired!

@@Mar_real Too right he was! Spinks himself even stated so later on. I remember Teddy in this same interview stating who knows what might have occured had Spinks managed to land that right hand he threw after the first knockdown, but had Tyson not had the ring I.O to make it miss and it had landed flush and clean I still think Mike's granite jaw would have simply walked straight through it leaving Spinks on the canvas just like what happened anyway. Mike stated himself he had absolutely no respect for Spink's power!
