I and a few other boxing fans have a theory here in South Africa, that the tyson "rape" charge was a bull shit story and it was put in place in order to get Mike Tyson out of the boxing scene for a while so the other heavyweights could get a bit more spotlight time, and the managers and promoters of the other heavyweight boxer could make some cause all the attention and money was going to tyson, but to be honest, Before tyson went to prison right, he was unstoppable, lewis, holyfield ect none of them wanted anything to do with tyson, tyson went down hill booze drugs ect messed even more so with tysons head.

The 90's were the best decade in the US. The cold war won, Internet got born, economy sky rocketed, intense sports with one in a life time stars, movies never to be forgotten, music that still rings. Best decades, the 90s.

90s was my teenage decade. In Europe we had the birth of the rave scene too. 😁 What an amazing decade it was. The freedom we had will never be seen again.

70's and 80's too ! But 90's are the best indeed. Ah jurassic park, mrs Doubtfire, actors too, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey and so on... Bygone age. Nostalgia.

Most interesting is here, that he really stood the middle of the ring and went fearlessly into infights with Tyson. Lewis did not allow that at all.

This literally was the beginning of the end of Mike Tyson's career.. Evander Holyfield was Mike's nemesis. And I admire both of them. Mike will always be the champ in my eyes.

Buster Douglas was the beginning of the end. Buster showed the world that Tyson was human. Buster showed the blueprint on how to beat Tyson.

@@user-sg8kq7ii3yThe only reason why Buster won was because Mike didn’t train for that fight. But to be honest Mike still won that fight because when he knocked Buster down the ref gave a 14 second count instead of 10 seconds which would have made Mike the winner 🏆

@@kephale1 If Mike didn't train, then that's his fault, and he deserved to get demolished like he did. If an NFL team gets to the SuperBowl, and they decide not to practice for the big game, and they get demolished, they can't say after the fact, "Well, we lost because we didn't really practice seriously for it." No one will care. People make their own decisions on what they want to do with their time. And they live with the consequences.

@@kephale1 Also, you, obviously, don't understand boxing at all. The referee gives a 10-COUNT. A 10 COUNT is NOT THE SAME as 10 SECONDS. Also, the referee's COUNT is the official count. So all Buster is obligated to do is to follow the referee's COUNT, and get up before the count of 10, which he easily did. Next, before the referee starts his 10-COUNT, he first had to send Tyson to a neutral corner. Once Tyson is in his neutral corner, only then does he begin his count. Next, Buster was never hurt. Yes, he was knocked down, but he was never hurt. As soon as he hit the canvas, he slammed his fists on the canvas because he was angry at himself for getting careless. A hurt fighter CANNOT slam is fists on the canvas if he's hurt badly. Buster explained it himself that he got careless because he was amazed at how easily he was beating up Tyson. He said he was landing punch after punch so easily, so he actually stopped to admire his work. That's when Tyson caught him. Lastly, Tyson also got a long count when he got knocked down, but, unlike Buster, Tyson was in no condition to continue. He couldn't even locate his mouthpiece. Just needed to educate you a bit. Have a great day!

No doubt, I am not a boxing expert, but it seems the skill was there but the heart was not. In his prime those punches would have had a lot more power, even the legs arent moving with the punch as much. The last little uppercut he did had no conviction. Yes all of those punches would have fucked most people up, but mike was not mike here.

Look at that combination when he did that to Jesse Ferguson and Jose Ribalta. When he did that to holyfield it looked like it has no power. Tysons trainer said in this fight he only trained 2 weeks cos he thought nobody can beat him
