"The ones who are only living are the ones who are only dying". The lyrics on this song are just brilliant. And it sounds even more intense live: the "Liva At Parkteatret" version is my favourite. Her voice is like crystal. If you want to see something very different and more upbeat from her, try this one: "Röyksopp - Ice Machine (Depeche Mode cover) Live on Lydverket" (she's on vocals). And if you really want to be blown away by her live vocals, watch this: "Susanne Sundfør - The Silicone Veil (Live Skavlan 2012)" Or this gem, with a full orchestra: "Susanne Sundfør - The Amorous Humphrey Plugg"
@DenizYalcin3 жыл бұрын
I was going to request "Ice Machine" specifically from MnG but because you have already requested it in here, I'm only going to vote it up. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nneznXp6gMycj8U @Play It Again with Mike and Ginger "Ice Machine" was originally from Depeche Mode's first album "Speak and Spell" as the b-side song of the single "Dreaming of Me". This song was not included in the first release of the album. It's written by Vince Clarke who left Depeche Mode after this album and later formed Yazoo and then Erasure. There is another song by Susanne and Röyksopp from the same concert which is a live performance of their official single "Running To The Sea". You should also check that one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d37Pe2puYpylkJY

I think I mentioned it in another of your reactions, but please check out her collaboration with fellow Norwegians Röyksopp and their cover of Depeche Mode's "Ice Machine" (b-side of their very first single from 1981). She´s norwegian. I don´t think upbeat is the first word people tend to think of when you say norwegians. The first word would probably be "Who?"

@@villikotturinn haha. I took a deep dive into Norwegian music last year, after checking out several reaction videos. There’s a number of upbeat artists, like Dagny, Astrid S, Alan Walker, Julie Bergan, Sigrid, eMMa, SKAAR, and numerous others. But typically the more deep/serious songs are chosen for reactions.
