The theme is not always murder. It is greed. The character with the covered face represents us, the regular man and woman. Ren draws eyes on the face so that the individual can see the truth. When we see the truth we fight back against the oppression. When the truth is exposed, the oppressors then turn their venom on themselves and self-immolate. Ren is a genius. Messaging gets better in Mondy Game 2. Then Money Game 3 is a masterpiece. Please do react to those next.

Really good you are doing them in order though they do stand separately as well. That was all done live as a single take - just imagine how difficult that was to choreograph as the videographer. Ren's album Sick Boi is out right now and it is entirely possible he might become the first fully independent artist in the UK to ever hit number 1 in the charts. He is well on his way to becoming a superstar and even today, I've seen musical royalty of the calibre of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber saying how amazingly talented he is and hoping he hits number 1. He is a voice for the forgotten and those who cannot get their voices heard - truly a voice of a generation (and many more to come I suspect). Incredible for a kid from a tiny village in Wales who was essentially bedridden and housebound for about 7 years.

Beautiful write up. Ren said if we purchase from his merch store the albums count for UK numbers. When I ordered it was with a UK link because I ordered a handful of digital ones as well. I love him as a musical artist and as a great human being.

Great to see you react to this series in turn. Yes, I get your baseball bat references to the untouchables and a clockwork orange! Ren likes movies so maybe he's seen them too! He creates such tension with the repeated threats of violence to the captive only to turn the tables at the end, which is so cleverly done. As others have said make sure you do the LYRIC version of 'Money game PT2' as it is the complete version. The live version is great as well but only covers the last part of MG 2, well worth watching afterwards though.

My take on this video is. The kidnapped individual was a 'defendant' in a 'trial' with the psychotic Ren accusing him and acting as Judge/Jury/Executioner. Ren's character, through the song, goes on to explain the individual's crime: being part of a money game - a twisted game where people are divided and suffering for the sake of wealth. People who are willing to exploit their peers get ahead, and other are forced to do bad things for survival. Each time he gets close to exacting punishment and killing his victim, he stops to continue explaining more ways we twist our lives for that wealth. He even symbolically draws eyes on the head sack to signify that the victim isn't blind to it: the captor has 'opened his eyes'. He has no excuse and deserves this punishment of death. Finally, with one final attempt to do the deed, Ren's character realized the futility of what he's doing. Looking in the mirror, as per the lyrics, he is also part of the money game. And so, he puts aside his holier attitude and burns himself to death instead. As he said, as assuredly as the whole world turns while playing this game, the whole world burns as well. This 1 take video took over 180 takes to get the one they were looking for...

Before MG3 dropped, I was a huge fan of both 1&2. 2 stuck with me first, because of the lyricism and aggressive energy. However, the more I listened and really heard all of the lyrics, Money Game 1 took over. The message is so POWERFUL and universal. I am so grateful we have an artist like this who makes us listen and--more important--think. Sidenote: I really wanna hear a piano Broadway-style cover of this song. (Think Anne Hathaway on Jimmy Fallon lol)

the hostage was the money game ..or the greed..what ever it´s the same. As long it was anonymous it was easy for Ren to blame to nag at before he was gonna destroy it...but in the moment it lost its anonymity and got a face it became his reflection..so in order to destroy the money game he had to destroy himself... By the way the clockwerk orange reference is defintively there especially in the moment Ren makes that dancing slide moves with the baseball bat in his hands right before he sets the bat back aside again. When you do Nr2 please do the lyric video.... the other one is just the very last vers of the song performed acapella while walking along the beach.
