Never a waste of time. I always learn something new from your videos - not only about photography. I'd love to see you and your camera journeying North on your bike, up through the 'South', Midlands, Pennines, Lakes, then into Scotland. Right through the middle of the country - taking images and explaining how and why along the way. Comfort Zones... #Photography #Motorbike #Skills #Knowledge #Journey #Travel #Learning. Mike, I I have watched your videos for years and my bucket list is to join you on a trip abroad. The burnt out shot of the boat. Now my favourite saying camera is in the one in your hands. But you also talked about filters, which you no longer seem to do. Any reason. I know that you you have never been big on filters, wouldn't that have been an ideal situation? Love the bike series...
@MikeBrowne2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Martin. The sky behind the boat was virtually burnt out to the eye, so bringing it down with a filter would (in my opinion) look un natural and kinda wierd. I rarely use filters because I find it quicker and easier to do it on the raw in Post... ... MIKE🙏😊

Loving this bike riding caper, spent a lot of time on bikes in my younger days, nostalgic. I cant go past a good croissant and mince pie either. @MikeBrowne2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Stuart. Don't remember TBH, probably the boat. Because everything in that shot is beyond the infinity point of the lens, especially combined with a small aperture it didn't matter because everything would be sharp regardless of where the camera was focused. I can't go into details in a KZbin comment but this and many other things are all explained and demonstrated in my Masterclass. Link below if you'd like to try a free sample. Hope that helped... .. Another great vid Mike, they are a reminder to all photographers of all levels that it's a very good idea to refresh our minds and recap on 'proper photography'. I do a lot of street photography and often I end up leaning to fine art photography which can cause bad habits after a while as I purposely over blow highlights but your videos and your photography courses keep our standards high and they keep our understanding of the concepts of composition, light etc so we can go onto other genres behind the camera . Great stuff Mike, you are my 'Go to' person when I need to keep my photography standards as high as possible 👍
